On behalf of Canadians everywhere I'd like to offer an apology to the
United States of America. We haven't been getting along very well
recently and for that, I am truly sorry.
I'm sorry we called George Bush a moron. He is a moron but it wasn't
nice of us to point it out. If it's any consolation, the fact that
he's a moron shouldn't reflect poorly on the people of America. After
all it's not like you actually elected him.

I'm sorry about our softwood lumber. Just because we have more trees
than you doesn't give us the right to sell you lumber that's cheaper
and better than your own.

I'm sorry we beat you in Olympic hockey. In our defense I guess our
excuse would be that our team was much, much, much, much better than
yours.

I'm sorry we burnt down your white house during the war of 1812. I
notice you've rebuilt it. It's very nice.

I'm sorry about your beer. I know we had nothing to do with your beer
but we feel your pain.

I'm sorry about our waffling on Iraq. I mean, when you're going up
against a crazed dictator, you want to have your friends by your side. I
realize it took more than two years before you guys pitched in against
Hitler, but that was different. Everyone knew he had weapons.

And finally on behalf of all Canadians, I'm sorry that we're
constantly apologizing for things in a passive-aggressive way which is
really a thinly veiled criticism. I sincerely hope that you're not
upset over this. We've seen what you do to countries you get upset with.

Cheers.
I'M A CANADIAN!

:D

Something tells me we'll be ok. As soon as the present administration knows what we want your government's stance to be we'll let you know and you'll comply as always. It's not so much Canada's fault. Any nation settled by the French will always have certain . . . problems. We have them in Louisiana, too.

I'll forgive the country's stance, but I'll never forgive you for the Barenaked Ladies or Loverboy

GULF WAR
1990-1991
On August 1, 1990, Iraq invaded Kuwait. The United States, under President George Bush, put together a coalition to firce Iraq?s leader, Saddam Hussein to end his invasion. Canada soon joined the USA, with Prime Minister Brian Mulroney offering the destroyers HMCS Terra Nova and Athabaskan plus the supply ship Proctecteur to help blockade Iraq.

These ships left Canada on August 24th with 934 crew, including 27 women. As the USA began moving hundreds of thousands of troops into Saudi Arabia, Canada offered a CF18 squadron with 450 personnel. On November 29th the UN agreed to the use of any force necessary to force Iraq to withdraw by January 15,1991. Saddam did not comply and air attacks began on Iraq?s military installations. Canada participated by providing air cover and engaging targets on the ground. A Canadian field hospital with 530 personnel was established to handle the heavy casualties expected when a ground assault began. This assaut, called Desert Storm, began on 24 February, but the Iraqis began surrendering and a ceasefire was called 3 days later.

There were no Canadian casualities in this war

We lost more merchant marines getting supplies to Europe then we did in all of World War 2. So for you to say we didn't get involved for 2 years is ignorant.

I guess whoever wrote what Dr. Strangelove posted does'nt know that right or wrong(I believe wrong) the electoral college determines who the president will be, not the popular vote.

I guess this person might be the only person on earth that believes thatsaddam does not have wmd, since the countries on his payroll(france, germany, russia) all agree that he has wmd. And even that piece of shit group located on the east side of NY, stated when they left iraq in 1998 that saddam had wmd that is unaccounted for. But I guess this writer has more knowledge of the facts.

I am tired of people from other countries, & their political leaders personally attacking the President. It is one thing to criticize a political leader, but there is no need for personal attacks. It only makes the person issuing the attack look foolish.

Lastly before criticizing our country, maybe this person should look at his own country. For example, Canada's dollar is not worth very much in comparison to the US dollar, it seems to always have a high unemployment rate, & their military is deteriorating. Don't get me wrong there are many things that trouble me about our politics, but am tired about the constant personal attacks about our President.

Friends are suppose to support their friends. If another country thought that their country was at risk, does anyone think the US wouldn't be there for them?

"the bunker"
it has become

it has become

very politically correct and "chi-chi" to hate the u.s......one question(that will never be answered)stays with me ,though....

if al gore(or even clinton, who made numerous speeches on how horrible saddam is and how he should be dealt with harshly)were president, and undertook the same tack, how would the allegiance`s have differed?...i know some would say,"clinton would never have done this"..just for argument`s sake....how political is this?... the coalition of the willing did bomb milosovich for 70 odd days straight.....with no discernable american national interests involved....... would the hollywood elite have been as vociferous in their dissent?......they were sitting on their hands back then....garofalo?....sarandon?.....farrell?........the statesman sean penn?......was jimmy carter crying the blues back then?.....thanks,jimmy,we`re kinda lucky iran doesn`t still hold american hostages......i wasn`t crazy about the disproportionate stuff clinton endured after the blow job....they were not grounds for impeachment ..it`s painfully obvious that many put political opportunism ahead of pretty much, everything else....and that`s a very sad thing.....

cput hthat in your maple leaf pipe and smoke it

cput hthat in your maple leaf pipe and smoke it

I know this is just a trap to get us Americans stirred up. Let me dance on the edge by saying: Canada is crap.

Along with Mexico, Canada has very few natural resources and extreme weather. The US has shown (and some think, they are continuing to show) that we take what we want. Ask a Native American or a Native Hawaiian if you don't believe me. There is more oil in Alaska than all of Canada.

Alaska, hmmmm very interesting. Where else in the world does a state like Alaska exhist? Alaska should clearlly be Canadain. But, it's American because we wanted it. Case closed.

Hockey? you wanna talk Hockey? Talk to me about hockey in 5 years when the Canadians and Maple Leafs can no longer afford to stay in Canada. They will have to relocate to Louisville and Birmingham because of the exchange rate....ha ha. Put that in your Maple Leaf pipe and smoke it.

1812? Let's move on....

Ok, ya hey you dere...ya do pay lesser wadges no? Lesserr um wadges makes da lumber cost less at the end. no? Da, umm exchange rate help ya here. Put ya still gotta pay more for basic products like Playboy Mags. Oddly enought made from your trees.

Beer? I don't really get this one. I'm drinking a Guiness now (for St. Pat). Being in America we have a selection of many beers. I just don't get this one.

On the other hand.....

Oh, who cares....bash away. Bash America. Bash Bush. Bash whatever. America is still the best, strongest, and wealthiest country in the world.

My friend Blazer, what you said above is SO wrong...

Toronto is the MECCA of all Mecca's when it comes to hockey....

NEVER and I mean NEVER will hockey die in Toronto,

That my friend you can take to the bank...

Dear Canada,

You gave us Celiene Dion. Running fingernails down a chalkboard is more enjoyable than listening to one thing she has to say or sing. Until you get that annoying bitch out of our country and off our airwaves, you are politely invited to kiss our big fat ass.

Regards,
The USA
