I'm with you on the taunting but you do not have to run the ball up the gut with 4-5 minutes left. You should bury an opponent when you have em down. It's Michigan's job to stop them.

Yeah, I posted on the in-game about the taunting. I hate that crap. I don't mind a little shit-talking every now and then but showing people up like that is a lack of class. He wore his ass on his shoulders today and showed who he was.

I will say that Jarrett should know better to act and taunt as he did. My question to all of you naysayers is does anyone know how much jawing Hall and the other DB's did on Jarrett?

I was at the game and saw nothing but class, some minor exceptions, from both teams.
In addition to those folks questioning why SC was passing up 14 with 5 minutes left: Do you think they could have gotten a first down to run out the clock running? Their ground game and Mich defense did not allow it.
Also, since when is being up 14 minutes with 5 minutes left truly a safe lead against a team supposed to be better than you?

I had USC but, Jarrett is a punk that has no respect for himself, his team, or the game. This guy will not be back, hes ready to play for money. What ever happened to running the ball into the end zone and flipping the ball to the official ? What's this jump shot stuff and pulling up to show up the other guy ? He has been a a classy kid for the program and a major contributor. I will agree with you about the showboating at the end of the game and taunting on the long TD.
Many of us Trojan faithful were quite upset by his actions as we thought he would be above it. What we don't truly know is the level of taunting by the Mich DB's, specifically #19. Personally, I don't like the behavior either and would love to see these kids act like they have been there and give the ball to the refs, but what he did is no different than 95% of all the players in CFB, NFL, NBA, MLB, etc.
It is also funny how no one has said anything about the Mich DB's or even worse, how the Mich team ran off the field without shaking hands. Let me clarify, were stopped by SC, then shook hands.
If you want to bash the kids that is your prerogative, but don't make it all about SC. They were both in the wrong.

I have no problem with play calling. The only thing I would ever say would be something like....
if a team is up by 30 points late....and the game is definitely decided, then put backups in. If you want to throw with the backups, by all means.
I've seen games that were blowouts in the first half and the announcers accuse a team of running it up. If you outscored someone 38-3 in 1st half...there's still 30 minutes left. You need to get every point you can...

Johhny i did bet the under and i will never do this again in a USC game. No coach in the pros who would be up 14 with 5 minutes to go would still be passing. Michigan coach just gave up and punted and this prick is still passing like he had a bet on the over. There was no good reason at all to continue to pass and he did the same thing in the ND game. The amazing part is when he puts the game over he stops passing. Is this a coincident? What is now gonna really piss me off is this piece of crap Carrol is now gonna play a Dean Smith role and keep getting the best recruits and be almost to powerful to be a college team and beat on kids with less talent. He won't go pro because he knows like before he probably won't be able to cut it with everything being even. Dean Smith did have class tho.
