A couple of years ago in Cocoa Beach, we got to see one being "piggy-backed" up the coast back to Cape Canaveral. It was awesome! At least we got to see a piece of history "live" and in person!

Really, really sad that there is only one shuttle launch left. Even sadder that the manned space program is in shambles. Am excited that there is a good chance I'll be able to take a private space flight by the time I hit retirement age!

Marsha I remember my dad back in the mid 80's taking us to Hartsfield Airport in Atlanta to see the shuttle on top of a 747. Very cool and something I'll never forget.
