just to update this thread, I am going to court tomorrow, not sure what will happen, but I am going to go in and ask that the ticket be dropped/lowerd, I haven't had a ticket in over 3-4 years, even though I was excessive speeding in this case probably doesn't help much.

The only other thing I am worried about is my licensce info is out of date, and the court is in in my hometown where I have lived for a year but not changed my info for my licensce, it expires next month and I need to get some contacts so I can pass the eye test first., so have to figure out what to put down for my address

gl tomorrow bud, u should always keep that license info correct, made a mistake about 10yrs back, license was expired for some speeding tickets incidents like u and didn't know it, cause I moved and they send all info to address on license, they do not forward. It wasn't I didn't pay the tickets, but they wanted me to go to traffic school, drove around 9 months before I found out about it. The only reason i found out was when I went to get my license renewed, they gave me a number to call, had no clue wtf it was for. I was lucky as hell I didn't get stopped during that period of time or got into an accident.

If you can ask to speak to the judge before the trial date he may let you off. I had to do this a few yrs back because I hace a CDL license. I had to pay court costs and go to a one hour class but it was a lot better than having my insurance jacked up.

Anyone coming up I-85 anywhere near Montgomery watchout. I live in Montgomery. State troopers wrote 182 tickets between 4 and 5 pm last nite just in the city limits.

well just got back from the court, and I had read someplace online that if you plan on pleading not guilty it is not even worth it for you to show up for initial trial hearing. But rather let the know by mail.

SHould have taken their advice, I plead not guilty and I am seeking trafic diversion which is less than my fine would have been and I qualify because of no prior infractions in the previous 6 months.

Called the county office for this and they said fine it will take 14 days, so now just have to stay off the pedal for at least 6 months and it is cleared.

A lot of young people in court today, a lot of them on probation already, kinda of scary. I have to wonder if they didn't bust some big party over the holidays with these minors.
