Hmm, so I guess you are supporting the earmarks and wasteful programs in those spending bills? Interesting.

Supporting the unemployed due to a bad economy is wrong. Assisting states suffering from the bad economy to fund basic programs in many different sectors of the economy is wrong. Helping doctors (are these the ones that were going to quit/retire when healthcare legislation passed, Wayne, or are those different doctors?) that are having medicare reimbursements cut, to help them continue to practice and give them time to change their business practices after their incomes have changed due to cuts is wrong. Funding to school districts to prevent teacher layoffs which hurt educational opportunities for our children is wrong. Gotcha - I know where you stand.

And now, apparently, the war funding money is wrong, as long as Obama and the dems are a part of it. Cutting wasteful programs and excess spending in other programs is reprehensible, because it has to be some kind of grift, or lie, because it's Obama. Gotcha - I know where you stand.

This is exactly what I've said will be important to me in rating Obama and what he said he would do. He is going to tackle spending and the deficit in the coming couple of years - I guess we'll see. Asking for this power is a step in the right direction, in my opinion. What he does with it will be worth looking at. Or, in your case, finding something new to rip him, because it's Obama.

Carry on.

No Chad I'm saying Gumby's a grifter--You must have forgot his promise to go line by line on pork--just prior to passing stimulus in middle of the night with tons of pork.

So he broke 2 majors pledges -line by line on pork--putting bill on website prior to vote--immediately after the pledges (grifts) --and your still biting on the grifts--

--a pledge or statement is something most people follow through on--

A grift-

a confidence trick or confidence game (also known as a bunko, con, flim flam, gaffle, grift, hustle, scam, scheme, swindle or bamboozle) is an attempt to defraud a person or group by gaining their confidence

When I see say one thing and do opposite time after time I see little to :00hour about.

How many no pork--pay a you go--era of responsibity can you listen to as he continues to set records on pork--spending and unprecedented deficits.
His answer to everything so far has been tax or spend--

His latest answer to gulf catstrophe isn't helping to control or clean it up --its--

Congress preparing to quadruple tax on oil...

--and lets see--what can we spend on next--

Dem lawmaker proposes $165 billion bailout for unions

Wayne, I have an increasing problem with some of what I am seeing. As you know, I am not a blind Obama supporter, although you repeatedly label me as being such. I know it's easier to paintbrush people, happens all the time. Each issue could and should be looked at differently, and only increasing taxes cannot be a realistic way to deal with our current budget issues. Dems of course start there first, and Reps want to start with cutting anything they don't agree with first, second, and last. Neither is practical or sensible, both are easier than dealing with reality. To defend either side uniformly, is impractical, in my view.

Like I said, I am watching and will form an opinion based on doing, and not saying. Until all of us decide not to grab whatever we can, and continue to elect representatives primarily based on what they have done for our own home state, then nothing will ever change.

I will mention, though, republican legislators who rail on all the pork, spending, earmarks, etc., and yet are the first ones to appear in public at credit taking events back in the home states, are the worst creatures of all. Not to mention include and promote their own earmarks and pork for personal gain for their own states and political careers. I continually feel the conservatives who do that are more reprehensible than those that don't just tell you what you want to hear, but tell you they want something and will tax you to get it. Nothing different than family values conservatives who make their living preaching to the choir and then fornicating in it.

You continually harp on Obama about being a grifter, give us a definition of grifting, then ignore the republicans who do the very same thing every day. You don't really care about grifting, as long as it's a grift that you personally think is worthwhile or fits your personal value system or pocketbook.

For the record, I don't expect you to :00hour about anything to do with Obama. I give you a list of almost a hundred things he's done, and you dismiss them based on disagreeing with the first two. And so it goes... but you really don't expect any of us to believe you would :00hour for Obama, do you? Don't waste your time moving forward, and maybe work on your chipping and putting. I think we all need work there, and at least it's a worthwhile endeavor.
