Spicey Pickled Eggs

2 cups vinegar
1/2 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 Tb salt
1 tsp celery seed
1 tsp mustard seed
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tb cayenne pepper
1 tb habanero powder
1 tb red pepper flakes
1 cup of your favorite fresh peppers
1 onion



Boil eggs, cool and peel. Throw everything in and put in the fridge for two weeks.

What I do is take out a huge pickle jar from Sams Club. I don't really even measure out all of the spices anymore. The hotter the better for me. The eggs are great but I actually like the taste of the pickled onions and peppers better. I put the liquid and spices in the jar. Then I throw in the dozen eggs. Then I cram as many onion slices and jalape?os that I can get in there.

I finished my last jar in two days. The wife loves what happens to me when I eat a dozen spicey eggs and onions...

Do you cook the brine or just put it in cold ? I've always cooked mine. I am going to try your recipe.
