A great day for the Bills comes with a couple of major pieces of bad news. Running back Fred Jackson suffered a groin injury that will be fully diagnosed during a Monday MRI. His replacement, C.J. Spiller, suffered a broken collarbone.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Spiller will have surgery tomorrow. He is expected to be done for the year.

Spiller?s injury happened at the tail end of a 53-yard run. It possibly ends his time in Buffalo; the 2010 first-round pick is in the final season of his rookie contract.

Recently, speculation had emerged that Spiller could be traded. He?ll now likely hit the open market in March as an unrestricted free agent.
