HU$TLE is a telepic about Pete Rose. I believe Tom Sizemore plays Rose, but I could be wrong. I am sure it will be complete trash, just like almost every other EOE offering.
ESPN Original Entertainment really ticks me off. They have a legion of young to middle aged males weaned on pop culture who have been turned off by the state of sitcoms today. Yet when they produce scripted material, unfailingly it is the type of soap operatic trash normally aimed at women. It is like they are taking their core audience for granted in trying to use EOE to expand their base audience.
Give us a sitcom, a light hearted movie, an inspirational story or ANYTHING besides more melodrama. The idea I'd love to see is a Larry Sanders-styled show about a star NBA player on a bad team who has a posse of his friends from the neighborhood where he grew up. Obviously ENTOURAGE on HBO has already attempted to pluck those comic strings to an extent, but in my opinon the potential for a series like that is huge.
