B.T.J, thats the down point on "ESPN TO GO" if your city doesnt have good coverage,forget about it.. my espn is also like that.. chitty coverage.. so who ever gets 1,make sure you give them your zipcode to make sure your in.. B.T.J,since your in boston i figured u would have good coverage.. maybe its the service itself.. :thinking:

I HAVE GOOD SERVICE IN THE BOSTON AREA ITS JUST THAT THE ESPN PAGER SOMETIMES STOPS.EVERYTHING WORKED FINE LAST NIGHT EXCEPT THE AMERICAN LEAGUE SCORES.IT ALWAYS SEEMS TO STOP IN THE SECTION WHERE I HAVE ACTION SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME LAST WEEKEND IN A COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAME I DIDNT GET AN UPDATE FOR ABOUT AN HOUR OR SO.I AM NOT COMPLAINING TO MUCH NOW BECAUSE ITS THE ONLY PAGER ON E-BAY THATS WORTH BUYING RIGHT NOW,
weird jim,i never had my pager stop giving me updates later then 5 minutes.. my problem is alot times i get scrambled updates cause of my weak signal i get here in rochester..
For those of you that may have nextel service, you can get the web added for 3$ a month. one less thing you have to carry if its already on your phone. scores,weather,news,stocks, etc. I would say it updates every 5 min or so. Not sure if other phones services carry or not, but might help some of you.

i had an espn sports pager. then i discovered 1-800-555-TELL. just call the #, say "sports," then the name of the sport like "college football," then the team name like "nebraska" and it'll tell you the score of the game. updates pretty frequently. much easier since i always carry my cell phone. no use carrying around my cell phone AND pager
I 2nd parlyinn's comments. 1-800-555-TELL is the best thing ever. Screw all these pagers. TELL ME is free and updates every 5 mins. As long as you have a cell signal on your phone you can updates!!! All sports, weather, soap opras(BTJ), stock quotes, news, and much much more!!!! I know all you guys have a cell phone, so dont buy a freakin pager!!!! Call 1-800-555-TELL. It is all automated, so you speak to a computer. PLS dont buy a sports pager. Only one small problem, if you are in a bar or ball game and it is loud, the computer has a hard time understanding you, and YELLING doesnt help. I have gotten some weird looks yelling the names of sports teams into my phone 
I use 1-800-555-TELL too but as WarEagle describes sometimes you find your self shouting in the phone hoping that you are understood. And if you are not understood, you get a very frustrating reply of "hmmm, I didn't understand" which tends to cause you to shout even louder! I'm sure it looks pretty funny to some people when you are standing in the middle of the bar or in the men's bathroom shouting "Baseball", "Cubs", etc.
