No time for any "blah, blah, blah" - here they are, NOT in order. Highlighted are the stronger SS rated teams AND the ones that I'll be on. ALL count as "officially" posted MJ plicks ...

Mizzu +8 (vs. Ga): Well, the SS doesn't even know what an injury is so that makes this selection pretty solid. I just can't go along with it though.. no play FOR ME, that is.

Mich. St. -9.5

Pitt. +9: I'm thinking about buying a pt. and making this one a parlay stuffer. Pitt has ALWAYS been on my Poopoo List; that is, playem and they lose, fadem and the bastages WIN. That happened often during the Wannstedt era, hopefully things may change for me now.

Nebraska -14

Army -7 : For whatever reason, SS just LUVs this team. Think it "likes" teams with a huge running offense advantage. I could make it make an adjustment for that tendency, but it worked so well in the past so I ain't touching a thing.

So. Carolina -6

Penn St. +2 1/2: I wouldn't go along with this one at +3 and maybe even a bit more either. I wish it woulda picked Mich.

UNLV - 8 1/2

MISC. comment -> really a bit disappointed that it didn't pick LSU. Dang! It did pick Fla., but only by a very tiny margin; translation of that is that this game is a - No Play.

PD, there's always something that's a little worthwhile reading in the "blah, blah, blah" section. LOL So far, it looks like your chances of pulling a wiener out of this week's list is pretty good. Hope you did just that.

Bryanz, I just post the record for each week; the FIRST week I posted and USED the Spreadsheet had to be WEEK 5 cause the SHEET needs data (i gotta SPOON feed the dang thang) and there ain't enough data for the early weeks for it to make it's picks with any reliability. I put the factors from week 4 (after each team has enough stats) and then the SS starts with those stats. It adjusts the stats from that point on after I put in each week's results. The whole thing is pretty complicated.

Fact is, the ONLY thing I track for myself is the bankaroo, not the W/L record. Week 5 it went UP , last week it went DOWN , and this week I got enough wieners already to know that it's gonna go UP

I use two teamers and straight plays most of the time.

BTW, pick no. 9 was So. Carolina

PD, I just went over the results for all the listed plays and I think that even if you nailed it to a wall and :00011 - you should be wiener. That's great :0053 and made posting this thing worthwhile. Even better- if YOU already liked the ones you picked from the list.

I RARELY make/play any regular (-110 jobbies) side plays on my own (without it being in the top 1/4 of the SHEET's plicks) but I have been using MY OWN O/U picks (usually only have one of them) for a parlay stuffer. I've had 3 of those since week 5 and doing great with them; if I post next week - I AM gonna include MY own O/U pick. ONLY gonna count the SHEET picks for the weekly W/L report though.

Did Hawaii score 20 mutha jumpin pts. in the last quarter (more than they scored in the first 3 quarters) only to lose the game anyway AND ruin the UNLV cover? SON AH MA BEACH ! . Ruined a parlay on me as well.

Oh well, can't complain even though I did have Pitt in that parlay just the way I posted my intentions of buying a pt. to make it +10 - which was just enough to make that a PUSH instead of a loss. YES, Pitt was +9 when I got that one.

Ooops, almost forgot.. the "REPORT CARD" .. . let's see, 6 -2 for the SHEET this week.

Just in case somebody's interested, the only game I had left near the end of the day was that UNLV/Hawaii fiasco. I took insurance on that one because that cover woulda cashed another parlay. Yeah, I take insurance on parlays WITH parlays; seems kinda lame, but ya gotta do what usually works forya...

One stinkin unit WINS 4+ - it has a pending NFLer in it which is why I'm posting it (NOT counting this on the report cause this thread is all about the SHEET (college games only)...

Good to see you're interested, byanz. Iit's really time consuming feeding this monster. Other years there was a site that would post a their own excell sheet that had all the factors that I use for my SHEET. Just took a simple cut and paste. Went fine for about 6 or 7 yrs.

Of course, ALL good things come to an end and they stopped posting their sheet this year and now I gotta feed it individual entries... UGH!

Before, I could run ALL the A-1 college games on it and it would give me ratings for EVERY game. NO WAY, can I do that by hand so our chances are not as good as in the past. Before I could get the highest rated games in order easily for EVERY GAME played cause it ran ALL the A-1 games; now I'm only working with about 60 teams (30 games to pick from). I have to enter data/results for every one manually each week .

I'll do my best to have enough time to post now that I see more folks (repliers, not viewers/robots) are interested in it's picks.

Good to read a little about the workings of "The Sheet".

Helped keep me off a play on Arkansas this week before they went and got pummeled by South Carolina, and I put a few bucks on Nebraska.

Place is turning into a world of ZOMBIES walking around staring at a 4"x 6" electronic "toy" that is 4 inches from their noses. SHEEESH! What a life.

I'm a recently semi retired computer professional and I KNOW better than to join that crowd. If drugs don't gettem, this addiction will eventually.

Sorry bout the off topic - just my opinion.

Thanks for stopping in, more NEW faces (ESP. ones like Barney Fife" .. LOL) popping up in here are keeping me interested too. Can't expect the sheet to keep replicating this past Sat's results, but THEORETICALLY, the SHEET should strengthen as we move further into the college FB season. It SHOULD "keep learning" as we move forward. Be careful though cause it usually throws in ONE UNEXPECTED REAL CLUNKER week. It also usually throws in ONE SUPPA week (like 8 or more for 10) too. I'll never forget how it did for BOWL weeks about 5 or 6 years ago; I ain't gonna post how it did cause absolutely NObody will believe it. I did post the Bowl picks for that year in a different forum. There's no way just luck could have made that happen. BTW, it did have one losing season and one "about" break even season since then.
