Not a bad list. So how did it turn out? Well, as you can guess, Alabama will be all but a unanimous number one pick. I?m a bit surprised Ohio State will be ahead of Boise State, but that is what seems to be the case here. So after combining all of those rankings from independents sources, our actual 2010 college football preseason rankings should look something like this:

1. Alabama
2. Ohio State
3. Boise State
4. Oregon
5. Texas
6. Florida
7. Virginia Tech
8. Iowa
9. TCU
10. Nebraska
11. Wisconsin
12. Georgia Tech
13. Oklahoma
14. Miami
15. USC
16. LSU
17. Penn State
18. Oregon State
19. Arkansas
20. North Carolina
21. Pitt
22. Cincinnati
23. Georgia
24. Houston
25. Uconn

Others receiving votes: Utah, West Virginia, South Carolina, Florida State, Cal, Auburn, Tennessee, Missouri, Texas Tech, Stanford, Arizona, BYU, Michigan, Navy Midshipmen, Nevada

How the hell is Georgia Tech in the top 15 in most of these:shrug: #1 qb is hurt, #2 qb transfered, best wr gone, best rb gone, best defensive lineman gone and yet they are top 15. What am I missing?

not a gtech fan but,,shouldnt the #1 qb be back....#1 wr thomas is no big deal since they throw the ball like 10 times a game...#1 rb Dwyer will be replaced with Anthony Allen transfer from Lville whos had 2 yrs in the system, so no dropoff there...

what about bama, why are they #1? most likely lose if Colt doesnt get hurt and yet they lose 9 defenders from that defense....

i like miami as a sleeper nc contender...

surprised Oregon is top 5 sans Masoli.

Nate Costa who is a senior knows the offense inside and out is talented along with athletic darron thomas...oregons offense will roll this year, backfield is deep and oline has depth

I agree that it is more about the system than any other offense but losing those players and only having one real QB that will consistantly get the hell knocked out of him does not sound like a recipe for success to me:shrug:
