There is a free version out there. Ever since I downloaded FIRERFOX browser, ad-aware, spybot, spywareblaster, and spyguard, I have not had any form of spyware/malware on my cpu.

Are you going to explain to my grandmother how to install linux, firefox, and staroffice and how to convert all programs and documents? Are you going to get her detailed documentation? This software is for the average joe who doesn't know shit about computers and wants a good cleaning utility.

Who said anything about arguing???
I am just pointing out that it is NOT NECESSARY to spend $ in order to have a cpu free from spyware.

But like you said, either buy it or don't buy it.
