Mr. lets get drunk and violate every rule of the NCAA at Kentucky, then deny it, is a great coach, I can only hope lucas' kid grows up to be as big of a loser as he is... He certainly seems to have an IQ of at least 80... JOHN LUCAS = LOSER!!!!!!!!!!!

He's overcome a lot in his life, and has helped innumerable athletes fight their demons as well. He turned out to be a not so good NBA coach, but that has nothing to do with his character.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I thought it was great to see him and his father after the game. Also the way John Lucas II went and gave a heartfelt hug to all the players was great as well.

You lost your bet but don't be so bitter towards others because of your misfortunes.

One has to be impressed with OK St's comeback.

Esp committing 8 more turnovers during the game and still winning.

you are a fraud, I know your plays before you post them you joker. If the money is one way and the line goes opposite you post it like it's your special play. I can read you like a book. You need to go back to college and quit trying to rip people off, or come up with a budget that will let you get by on your plus 3.5 units you make every year.

I interviewed John Lucas back when he had stint with sonics and he was nice guy, interesting ... as for his demons, he fights them every day and it was definietly goosebumps to watch father and son hug after game (esp. after seeing jr. struggle in FH) ... At risk of bringing myself into it too much, I coach HS hoops and had 2 kids on my team this year whose pops both were good NBA players, when we won the state championship in 2 OTs, I got as big a thrill watching the dad's hug their sons as anything ...

as far as your question, Volfan--ignore the man behind the curtain, something isnt right in denmark

I thought the father-son moment between the Lucases was even more poignant when framed against NCAA history. Remember, Lucas the Elder played on great Maryland teams that because of the rules of the day could not even qualify for the NCAA tournament.
The whole game last night was great theater. Those of us touting Joes all season were heartbroken at the end, despite covering the number.
But, our spirits were picked up as the CBS cameras panned to the line of dejected players, coaches, managers and cheerleaders heading towards the lockeroom: The HAWK was still flapping its wings :)
