First of to answer your ? t-ray my money is on pitt. tonight. there is no way in hell i could put -360 on the blues. yes they will prob. win this game but at this point wouldnt be suprised if they lost. Another injury against colorado as jeff finley hurt his hip and is doubtful, demitra continues to be out along with khavanov. paper did say that the blues spent much of fridays practice on the power play and shooting the puck. coach q has stated past few days that they have to shoot the puck alot more.
The Blues and rest of the season
First off this is the only stlouis team that i like and its been a frustrating season to see them go from 20-6-2-1 the first part of the year to 6-16-5-0 and on the verge of not making the playoffs. The teams goal is to get to 95 points which means they need 35 points in 26 games or 3 out of every 4 points. they've gotten 3 out of 4 points twice in last 26 games. The blues are just flat out lacking talent at this point, all the trades the past few years and giving up young talent has total depleted them and is finally catching up. key injuries havent helped either- macinnis, jackman, demitra, khavanov etc. etc. Another problem is goalie weve just never went out and gotten a solid goalie, this continues to kill us year after year. we may give up 17-20 shots a game but allow 4 or 5 goals. the players continue to say they like coach q and playing for him but i just dont think so and this will be his last year as blues coach. He seems to be a decent coach but comon your 1-33 on the power play and you just now decide to spend most of practice on getting this fixed while the last few games youve changed lines during games to find the right power play. another key is prongers ice time its been stated over the last week how he is just getting tired and worn out from all the ice time and the losing prob. isnt helping either. fellows what im trying to say is the blues arent that good and they are a go against team the remainder of the year and if they fall down to 10 or so in playoff race double up cause this team will quit. the next two games are against pitt and pho. but after that they play the top 5 teams in the conf. and this maybe the blood bath. ive been a season ticket holder for 8 years and followed the blues for 10 and this is the worst team theyve had yet. guess mr. laurie got what he wanted when purchased the blues a reason to go after a nba franchise. im out
