...I was looking at the arrival/departure 'plates' pilots use to get in and out of St. Louis today, and I noticed one of the outbound tracks was a "Cards 4 Departure". :D

Of course, no-one else in the room appreciated it, but I thought it was pretty cool. :0corn

I'm out a little further west than that BM... ;)

Sorry, should have explained a bit more...the 'tracks' are designated routes for all aircraft, all the time, after taking off from the aerodrome...
..."Cards 4" just happens to be the name. [The 4 just indicates it's been updated 4 times]

Just goes to show what's on most aviation-types mind's...(besides the obvious 2 things of course ;) )

Very cool shot, Tcas. Thanks. :toast:

Won't be me tho, unfortunately (well, not really unfortunately!...But I'll be enroute initially. Will be hoping to get out into a tower before too log tho.

I figured there'd be more...some of those are great! :142smilie

I know of a couple over here in Oz...the main track between Melbourne (I think, or Sydney) and Auckland in New Zealand has; KNITTA, WOOLY, JUMPER...in reference to their sheep...
...there's a random ITORT, ITORE, APUD, ECAT. :D

One of our AFL teams is Essendon, who had a coach Kevin Sheedy for about 25 years...the localiser into Essendon Airport is called SHEEDS.
