Iona -3.5 over Peter. **
Iona is so inconsistent.They beat Manhattan by 2 in the Bronx.Lost the other 3 rd games.But they haven't been home since the end of Dec after beating URI and VCU.
When they beat MC the Iona gds pounded the ball into there 6'9 center Jenkins who scored 30 pts and fouled out the 3 frontline MC players.
But what worked last game they probaly won't do.Ruland has no control and is a terrible coach.Tonite Jenkins might never see the ball.Peter has no frontline.Their gds are there "straw" that stirs.But Iona has gds and Iona does play tough defense. Iona held Niagara to 73 pts up at there place.Peters is like Niagara and plays no defense.Ranked almost 300th in the nation.
Leaning towards Iona because their gds can stay with Clark and co.And maybe Iona might realize that Peter has no one to hold stop jenkins.
But with Iona who knows what they will do.I took the -3 last nite and will play the Gaels.Actually it was -3.5
Iona has won 10-of last 12 games vs Peter.Last 2 times peter came to new Rochelle they lost by 12 and 10 pts.Mulcahy Center is a tough place to play.It's really like a huge HS gym with terrible lighting.After 6 games on the rd Iona comes home.
You have the MAAC's top gd tandems going against each other.Clark who again leads the nation in scoring with 25 pts,Hinnant with 12 and Watkins with 12.Peter plays a 3 gd attack.But Iona has Solivar and Burtt two outstanding gds avg 16 and 15 pts a game.McCullough who started 2 yrs ago and lead the team in assits and steals rides the bench.

Iona shooting from the 3 has gone south in last 3 games.There 7-36 at 19%.Wow.But think at home tonite they hit a few.
Peters frontline has Yates who was suspended and might not play tonite.Bozovic is 6'9 and has no offensive game.Peter frontline are role players.Let the gds run the offense.
Iona besides Jenkins has 2 6'8 players in Henson and Marshall.There both hot and cold.But Washmann at 6'7 is instant offense off the bench.
I think Iona has the gds to stay with Clark and co.Iona does play pretty good defense.Despite the Holy Cross game.But HC is a good team and could beat half the MAAC teams.
Peter can't play defense.They give up over 80 pts a game on the rd.Last 4 or 5 games they given up 85,95,91,85,79,etc.They held Yale to 68.
