Gee Chad I didn't know Ford was bailed out.
It was GM and Chrysler--
Not sure what your point is in commenting this way. I never said Ford was bailed out, I said they had success at least in part to the Cash for Clunkers program, that you were ridiculing. I know who was bailed out, and who wasn't.
Ford reported success, I commented on it, and mentioned partially why I thought that was, per your post. But, you can misconstrue my point if you like, maybe it will convince about three other people in this forum that post incessantly with a fish hook hanging out of their mouths.
I know for a fact here locally that many people bought cars that would not have without that program. I assume that's the case with homes, and with hiring people - activity that would not have happened otherwise, which helps individuals and businesses, and improves our GDP. You ridicule this, and then say that tax cuts generate revenue and help business - in some ways I don't disagree, but when you help people and put more money in their pockets, as you continually preach about, it will stimulate the economy. I don't see how this doesn't help individuals, businesses, and all of us as a way to spend tax dollars compared to other uses that people don't like. At least this money goes to generate interest, business, and self worth in our country. Ford is an example of how it can help.
