What are your thoughts on Bill Stewart?
Sometimes, I believe the media unfairly paints a picture of a guy:
Too nice, too dumb etc.
Then when you go around various message forums you hear numerous cappers say:
This coach sucks, or he is a moron.
Well from aside from obvious clock mis-management or calling a post pattern 5 wide on 3rd and 45 from your own goal line, how do we truly know that guys are bad coaches beyond looking at the 'apparently obvious' in W-L records or teams aside from injury that regress during the course of a season.
That said, I scratched my head as to why they hired that douchebag Kiffin in the first place. I heard 2nd hand that many coaches at the US ARMY AA game said he was dirty and quote 'a mess'. I would love to see him fall flat on his face at USC, but he has indeed assembled a power staff, so that may be difficult to see happen. Especially in a league that is not nearly strong at the top as the SEC.
Oregon seems to be making a nice push, and Mike Riley does a fantastic job at Oregon State.
I am still not drinking the Jim Harbaugh Kool-Aid, and wonder if Skippy and Chow can reallly get UCLA turned around. They had a nice defense, but their O was brutal, granted they had 3-4 different QB's playing but none of them seemed to progress under the guru Chow this year.
If there is one coaching prediction I think will happen and this is for LSU:
I don't care how good a recruiter Les Miles is, he will have you back into mediocrity very soon. Your luck catches up with you, and his is running out. Not to mention I heard he had boned Lloyd Carr's wife
