I know Im about 25 years late to the party on this book. But if you let this one get by you like I did I highly recomend picking up a copy.

Its a mother of a book and its out of date in parts.. No cell phones for example, but this book has to be in my top 5

Happy to hear they are making a movie out of it.

The graphic novel looks awesome too

this guy`s gone stale over the last decade or so...but if you can find it,check out his book of short stories called "night shift"....i`m not big on short stories,but more than a handful in this collection are absolutely great....many were made into full length feature films....

Yea..I was really disappointed with" Under the Dome"what a long winded, drawn out poor ending.

Nope.

Duma Key is one of my favs as well. Audio book is fantastic... read by dude from Mad Men.

Not a huge King fan but his last book about the Kennedy assassination was one of the best books I've read in last few years....imo

I'm a stephen king fanatic.
The stand was an awesome book... and parts of it tie in to his other pieces.. like the Dark Tower series.

There's an old tv miniseries they made it into that will play on AMC every so often. I think it was like 8 hours or something.
As usual, his longer novels rarely translate well to tv movies though. Hopefully a real movie is a little bit better.

I think his 11/22/63 book with the altered history would make for a kick ass movie.

Excellent read. I also enjoyed a couple of old time volumes: The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged years ago. Glad I found all three.
