Only my 2nd post of the year. Last time i got the nerve to post picks, i went 1-2 but won the best bet... but the last few days i've been on a great streak goin 11-2. So i'm hoping it will continue today and i'm gonna throw a few smart plays out there for anyone interested:

Tampa Bay D'Rays @ Texas Rangers -165 Loe vs McClung
Dont really like to take ML's over -150, but i have been getting screwed in runlines. I do like the pitching matchup here: Loe has a career record of 9-8 with a 3.53 ERA, while McClung sits at 12-14 and 6.52.

Arizona D'Backs @ LA Dodgers -150 Hernandez vs. Perez
Hernandez won his first start, but in the following two he was throwing straight meat on the mound giving up 11 Earned runs in just 10 innings. Perez on the other hand has allowed only 1 run a piece games against Pitt and SF. Although LAD are 3-6 at home, one of the wins was behind Perez... Lets pull for another here

Atlanta Braves -114 @ Washington Ntls Smoltz vs Patterson
Even with the braves throwing people into different positions due to injury, they won the series against the red hot Mets, and without Martinez they probably would have swept them. Today I'm backing Smlotzy. He's won 21-29 starts against these Nats and is 3-0 with a 2.43 ERA visiting Washington the last few years. This bet is getting on the better team and the better arm.

Cubs @ Cards Over 9 (-115) Williams vs. Mulder
Heavy scoring games being played these days in "New Busch Stadium"... In 6 games played here so far, against the Brews and the Reds, who have some strong sticks... 56 runs have been scored here (better than 9 runs/game). The cards are always good for a few runs and the cubbies are good at the plate too. Lets see some bombs hit of this park that is supposedly "sloped downward to give spectators a better view of the Gateway Arch and other sites.

UNDERDOG PLAY:
New York Mets @ San Diego Padres +108 Bannister vs Williams
Woody has a good record against the Mets with 9 for 12 wins in his career, while Bannister is allowing more then TWICE AS MANY BASERUNNERS AS INNINGS PITCHED. Mets are coming off a losing series to a scattered Braves team. Look for the Padres to come out on top in this one

Love SD but these bullpens this year have been the worst I've seen in a long time. Good Luck with your plays

Added one more. RunLine - Smash

Minnesota Twins @ Chicago Whitesox -1 1/2 (+180) Santana vs. Buehrle
Santana hasnt started off this season pitching to his potential, 0-2 5.71 ERA 12K/6BB. Buehrle looks like the World champ he is at 2-0 2.25 ERA. Also the Twinkies are allowing the most hits/game in the league - 11.1 and this Sox team can put the bat on the ball. Although they won their series against the Yanks and swept the A's, the World champs are gonna win this one by a few
