Why did they let Patti just spike the ball after that 2nd catch? Not sure it was even a catch, definitely warranted a review. But they let him spike the ball, the announcers say it was incomplete, the network doesn't even show the replay… And then UCLA let's Patti run for 6 or 7 yards, even after all that, they make a tackle the game is over… SMH.

I agree, can totally understand. They only showed the back side of the play, it probably hit the ground and popped up, just a guess, but seemed like that had to be what happened.

What pisses me off about these coaches is playing off 16-20 yards bc they don’t want to give it up in one play. What’s the difference in one play and three plays? They had so much success pressuring the QB late in that game

I'm pissed as well. I was huge on UCLA. They shit the bed 2H. The UCLA QB throwing three effing picks sealed their fate.

And they've done this for years, makes no sense, whats their stupid analytics for telling your team to go soft , throws off their aggressiveness.

A lot of complaining about refs this year, but that B10 crew at the Pitt/UCLA game was the worst. Running into not roughing the kicker on the punt, phantom PI vs UCLA late near the goalline, no PI on UCLA on the "uncatchable" ball over the middle, the play you referred to above and many others.

I rarely bitch about refs because I've tried it and it's hard, even on the HS level, but this crew was bad.
