Under a mask.
How can we possibly think about improving our infrastructure and creating jobs? We have spent too many 100's of billions of dollars lining the pockets of defense contractors rebuilding Iraq. Foolish OBama.

What about US!! :sadwave: (In other words hello!!)

tounge in cheek Rusty.

I love the Bush backers who didn't blink an eye while he tripled the debt, and doubled government spending. Now when OBama proposes any public works projects for the US, they are all about where the money is going to come from. I say we start with Iraq.

Sorry I am not being direct Rusty. I think that investing in the infrastructure of the US while creating some needed jobs could be a good idea. We have certainly been spending money on less worthy projects/causes.

Last one they tried did not work very well. It sounds like a better way is with tax breaks and maybe a tax holiday for 3 months. Might be both. But jobs are needed thats for sure. With so many lost with last crew.

AR,

If Obama only changes the Bush policy of being vague or untruthful about things that affect the American people then that change will be enough for me. As far as Obama struggling, one has to admit W sure has not left him much to gain traction on, so the odds are that he is going to struggle. Too bad Obama didnt come into office when we actually had a huge surplus that W frittered away like a drunken sailor on leave in Singapore.

that all of the things that obama promised on the campaign trail will not come about.....ie....don't think he will drastically change bush's foreign policy once he sees the daily intelligence reports & that is why he is keeping gates as sect'y of defense....the bottom line is that there will not be that much change...& many people who voted for obama will be disappointed....

Hmmm...you must of been sorely disappointed with W since he promised in 2000 to be an outsider that was non-partisan and would reach across the aisle to bring the country together. In my lifetime, there has been no president as partisan as W, so he basically lied to the american people. As far as me not posting anything positive about W, well tell me what he has done positive? Is it our foreign policy? economics? domestic work for the country? Really, what is his legacy?

i voted for gore in 2000....& before that i voted for clinton twice....i voted for bush in 2004 because of 9/11 as i would have voted for any sitting president at that time.....i vote for candidates not parties...

i have a lot of problems (too many to list) with the bush prsidency also but i donot believe he is the evil person that you & others think he is.....& i will let historians define his legacy..

i also agree that obama has taken on a tough job & as i have stated a few times on this forum that i wish him success....
