Figured I would start a thread for analysis of this game that goes in about an hour.

Simontacchi day era over 7, last 3 era over 6 and away era over 6.

Zambrano day era 2.95, and last 3 era 1.57

First Game STL: RHP Jason Simontacchi
8-4, 5.84 ERA in 2003
0-0, 4.50 ERA vs. Cubs in 2003
1-2, 5.73 ERA vs. Cubs lifetime

CHI: RHP Carlos Zambrano
12-9, 2.88 ERA in 2003
0-2, 2.95 ERA vs. Cardinals in 2003
0-3, 4.39 ERA vs. Cardinals lifetime

More thoughts are welcome.

GLTA,

Howie

I think the total looks a little high? I am not sure about the wind direction though?

First of all, the wind is out to left. Z in his last game against Stl pitched 7 innings, gave up 8 hits, 6 runs with an era of 7. S pitched 6 innings and gave up 3 runs. Z has faced this ump twice and lost both times. The ump is Cooper and his last 4 games have gone under but today looks like a solid over play. Still trying to decide if I will play Stl in a small par or pass the sides. Good luck

Great game so far..... Good luck to you under bettors.

With this game going into extra innings, what do you guys think about the under in the next game with Morris and Wood?

I've got to lean that way...

If they keep using up pitchers wont it make the night game a better over bet because if 1 of the pitchers starts off bad they will either keep him in longer or have to go back to the bulpen?

Pwine, I was thinking the same thing. What is the norm on using relievers. I they throw on the 1st game what are the chances they will pitch the 2nd.

Is anyone familiar with this situation?

the cubs just called me they said they might need another arm for the night cap, so I am on my way down to the park, at the rate St. L is hitting I think I could get these guys out.

The team just called the commissioner, the game has been called because they ran out of pitchers.

Why did Edgar not bunt Vina over? if he does that then when Orlando flies out to center Vina scores. wtf it's not like they have been knocking the cover off the ball, play some small ball Tony. Now I have a feeling the cubs will score in the bottom of the inning. :thefinger
