and it never happened...

honestly I think the league would do much better with a salary cap.

equal competitoin would allow for all markets across the country to compete, and thus raise the interest of the MLB

yankees, redsox, cubbies nation would still all be fine and be diehards, and mlb would love it..

Overall, baseball is terrible. 162 games and you play a 1-game wildcard??? Then a bunch of 5-game series??? No salary cap so a team like the Yankees just spends with an enormous advantage and is in the playoffs every single year.

Interleague play is a joke. Either combine both leagues into one or don't. That said, the designated hitter is a joke.

Biggest joke of all? Of course....all star game decides home field for world series. I miss the days when 2 teams from each league made the playoffs....played a 7-game series and then the winners met in the World Series.

This current stuff is downright laughable...
