Wait there is a four page thread on this staged show? Always late to the fun ones.

They could film thousands of years of footage and they would not find the shit that they "find" in these lockers.

If you think A&E does not plant stuff in these lockers you are the most gullible person ever.

and still few have answered the original question of the thread.

I guess I will take a stab. Never met YYZ, but I could see some similarities between him and Hester.

I think yyz is far more clever, but both seem bitter. Dave Hester is more street also; I just can't see yyz getting up in somebody's grill. :0corn

After watching this show I have determined I am a multi-millionaire as I walked around my house and every piece of junk I owned I priced at about eight times its value and automatically assumed someone would actually buy it.

Let's get the guy from Pawn Stars to set-up a table and value the items these junkers take away from the sheds. It is always entertaining when they get an antique or special item to a dealer who then tells the story of how rare and wonderful the items are, prices them at some wild number and then doesn't express any interest at all in buying the crap.

It seems they are a bunch of glorified junk men...nothing wrong with that but, the show is a farce.

I remembered one other thing I disliked about this show.

And that is the purposefull running up of the bids just to make someone else pay alot more than normal for the junk.
its like little children playing vengeful games on TV just to make them look like a holes.

A side note. People that abandon storage sheds do so because they dont have the money to pay for the rent.

So if you dont have the money and you know its going under , no one in their right mind would leave anything of real value just so it gets sold at auction.

no they would go in there and pick it clean and sell the shit so they could eat.

KOD, there are many reasons why one would not go back to a storage locker.....

Arrested
"Running from the law"
Death
In Prison
Don't care
Coma
Can't pay bill thus can't get back in to locker (lock changed, can't get in gate, etc.)
Disease
Forget
etc.
etc.
etc.

"Running up the bid" can burn ya or help ya. People that have been in the business for years do this all the time.

I'd love to see proof of A&E "planting" a locker. Where is the proof? They have to buy these "exotic items" somewhere. If they did someone who sold would come forward right? Again, where is the proof that they "plant a locker"? Easy to say they do with no proof. I'd just like to see the proof?

Show would not be on the air if there was proof.

Again...where is the proof about "planting lockers"

Azbob.....as said many times...the values on some items are way too high. Everybody knows ya only get what people will pay.

KOD...running up the bids is a perfect example of someone with no control or power or ethics trying to exert some imaginary control over another person so they feel better about themselves.

Unfortunately, you see this type of behavior all of the time and it results in some human being mean to another.

Everything from speeding up to not allow a perfect stranger to merge in traffic to cruelty to animals...when not drug or mental health related, it is all about some misfit trying to feel better about their own miserable life.

On the other hand, people have slowed down to look at car accidents and train wrecks for years so watching these self-indulged malcontents probably is the equivalent of going to the zoo.

I actually find running up the bids, being a good business strategy. If these guys are really in it to make money, they know that everyone has a budget that they try to stick to for each auction. If you can get someone to blow their budget early it allows you to get some lockers at bargain prices later on when you don't have the competition to bid against you.

Of course running up the bids is smart. Very smart actually.

It is good business.

Why would you not run up bids?

Only reason ya wouldn't was ya get burned and buy a shitty locker.

If you are a smart bidder, you run up the bids, it is that simple.

well if running up the bids is smart then here is what I would do.

Get in a bid with that yupppp fawker Hester.

As soon as I seen him running up the bid past lets say 400 bucks, I pull out my .45 point it right between his eyes and wait and see if he says

yuuuuupppppp again.

Say Yup again motherfawker

say Yup again.......
