I rarely play NFL until late in the season unless I get a strong tip. I was looking at the lines for next week at one of the online books and was rather shcoked to see the Browns only getting 2.5 points and the Steelers only getting 1. Both of these teams sustained some big injuries last week in particular the Browns as they lost Winslow, Brown, Warren, Tucker, McCutchen and their starting guard and the Steelers lost Maddox, anyone know why these lines are so low? Granted the Dolphins and Giants suck but they are at home against wounded teams!

Certainly see your points about the walking-wounded Browns, but I believe I will be playing them with confidence, regardless. These are my four reasons for making this wager: 1) The opener is inticing a bet on the 'Gints. 2) I believe Lee Suggs should be back this week. This offense looked much, much better when he was in there during the preseason. He and Garcia seemed to have a nice rapport going. As bad as the Browns offense was against the Cowboys, I think it could look night and day different this week, with the return of Lee Suggs being the catalyst. 3) This Giants D is very poor. IMO, just the elixir for the Browns O. While the Browns OL is weak, Garcia is mobile enough to be able to find receivers on roll outs, etc. I look for Butch Davis to try to use shotguns, roll outs, and misdirection to compensate for their misery up front. Give Garcia just a little bit of time and this Giants secondary will get torched. 4) While it is easy to look at last week's NYG-WSH final score and think that the Giants are improving, I feel it is very misleading. Think about this: the Giants forced seven turnovers and were still in danger of losing the game! :scared Now that is a telling stat if I've ever seen one. Give me the Browns +2.5 and SU, to bounce back into the W column, despite their injury concerns!

Sad thing is that the guy doing this has been a regular here for a couple of years but it doesnt surprise me as he has done similar things at other boards!

Miami/Pitt is NOT a trap!!!! Steelers will win that game. I know the rookie is starting for Pitt, but I think you take Feely vs. Roth and that's pretty even in my opinion. Feely has just not got in sync with this team and who knows how long it will take, but Roth didn't do so bad last week throwing for two TD's. Oddsmakers are giving Miami WAY too much credit for their defense...they have injuries, VERY bad offensive line, and a running game that is non-existant as they ran for a pitiful 25yrds last week vs. Cincy of all teams. Bill Cower will have his team totally focused and ready to pound this crappy Miami team who will most likely be in turmoil the entire season. Pitt got smoked here a few years back and I don't think Cower forgets games like those. Pitt has a ton of talent to help Roth have a solid game....as long as the TO bug doesn't hurt Pitt they will win this game handily....HUGE play for me! GL!!

Don't know if you saw the game, but one of the TD's should have been intercepted. Went straight through the D's hands , the ball ballooned and landed in a Pits arms.
Didn't look as good as the stats suggested.
No rel opinion on this game, but just saying...........

That's cool MrChristo....I'm not saying Roth is a great QB yet or anything, but getting lots of time last week will benefit him this week. This is a play mainly against Miami....I'm getting the definetly better coach, team with the better talent, DEFINETLY better running game, and in my opinion the QB status is equal. Also just fell upon another awsome trend that favors PITT....In the last 10 yrs when Pitt loses the first game of a two game road trip they are a perfect 7-0 straight up in the next game!! And that's all under Bill Cower...the guy knows how to motivate and WILL have this team focused after that loss in Balt...Fish are in trouble even with Pitt's rookie QB....
