I got a text a few days ago, looked it up (area code) and it said it was a scam to get you to call the number back, then they charge you the phone charge.
Mine was from 284 code, sorry.

anyone keep gettin the phone call saying this is your last chance to lower your interest rate on your credit card. If so press 1. Then you press 1 and they come on and i start to cuss them out and they hang up.
They call from a different area code every time.

we get at least one of these a week on our answering machine....i can`t remember that last time anyone in this house answered the telephone before waiting to hear the answerer first....
the utility company keeps calling with their "peak rewards" program(you make around a hundred bucks a year by letting the power company cycle your air conditioner on and off during periods of peak usage).....
well,our company was cycling people`s air conditioning off for periods of around 8-10 hours at a clip during the recent heatwave when temps were regularly in the 100`s.....:mj07: :142smilie
i can`t believe that folks fell for that b.s. to save $100 a summer....

Ageecee... I get 2 to 3 calls a day from them, as you said different # each time. I answered it a couple times & punched in 1 to get a live voice. Told them to stop calling me & they just keep hanging up.
