I drove a 2000 Porche boxter during lunch yesterday. First time I have ever been in one, let alone drive one. Very strong when it hits 5000 RPM. Felt almost like a turbo power band, only not quite as extreme. (didn't have turbo) It was nice and all, but I wouldn't want one. JMO.

Dr. Strangelove, as a point of comparison, my buddies ZR1 does the quarter in 11.40s at 122mph. That's without a soft drag suspension.

what mods does he have?
remember, a zr1 out of the box comes with (depending on the year) anywhere from 375-405 horses, an LT1 transam/firebird has (depending on the year) 275-325.
Therefore, with things being equal, if the same mods are done to both cars, the ZR1 should always come on top. He would improve his times by about 2/100 seconds if he put on some drag radials and better shocks.
