You and I have gone back and forth before on the cowboys, most of te time agreeing on the direction of the team. But you gotta call a spade a spade, they look very good tonught
They won at the Giants on opening night last year and the season went to crap...Good game tonight but let's let the season playout before we call them great.
never said they were great--people bitchin romo should throw it to dez in dbl and triple coverage--
For what it is worth and not a 100% excuse of course...but the Boys D was DECIMATED last year. Opening Monday night last year...they had the full squad playing....by week 11 I believe....6 or more of their Defensive starters on Monday night were out for the season and D-Ware was battling 3 injuries causing him ineffective.
This year...they are healthy....need Rat and Spencer back though and the O-line is improved. Now that we have Leary at left guard, just signed Waters at Right Guard and Frederick at Center...the middle of the line is much better and will improve as season goes on as long as they stay healthy.
Havent mentioned the switch to 4-3 and our whole Defensive coaching staff/sytem...but a HUGE upgrade and just like pre-season...Cowboys start off the season with 6 turnovers!
Love JG as just a head coach and not calling plays so he can manage all aspects of the game from the sidelines...I think this will be a vast improvement come Gameday.
Will also be nice to get Dunbar in the game to spell Murray and also get Randle involved as this will be the last season for Tanner.....we saw him fumble tonight and never came back in the game...
Optimistically Looking forward to this season obviously.....and hopefully a much better finish to the season than years past...but time will tell.
