Blue states support the Federal Government, red states suck the tit dry.

The piggiest tit suckers: NM, AK, MS, AL, LA, WV, ND, SD, VA, KY

And paying the bill for those tit suckers: NJ, NV, CT, NH, MN, IL, DE, CA, NY, CO.

Just watch, doggie will be right along to tell us how it's all the fault of blacks. All those blacks in ND and SD.

So, what do the tit sucking states have in common? Rednecks galore.

And then Mags will brag that WI has a balanced budget and MN does not. Good job by Dayton not to take any bullshit, could of had a balanced budget if the Repubs would of signed the damn bill instead they want to protect the top 2%..

Colonel Sanders was clearly on to something when he began selling takeout fried-chicken dinners to busy families during the Depression. Decades later, Kentuckians now spend 56 cents of every restaurant dollar on KFC and other fast food.

In fact, KFC's parent company, Yum Brands, which is based in Louisville and also owns Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, has begun lobbying Kentucky's governor to allow food stamps from certain residents to be accepted at fast-food places. Kentucky, which has the country's second-highest obesity rate, would be just the fourth state to approve the practice.

It appears to me that Kentuckians might be taking advantage of that Gub'mint healthcare too. ;)

The link below is to a very interesting map which shows Food Stamp usage across the country. Guys like Dogs love to paint the welfare state as strictly an "urban" problem, if you get my drift. Yet this map clearly shows that nearly ALL of the highest rates of food stamp usage in this country are in rural areas such as Appalachia, the Ozarks, the Rio Grande valley and on Indian Reservations.

http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2009/11/28/us/20091128-foodstamps.html

I guess Dogs is gonna have to rethink that whole "Gub'mint Tit" thing. ;)

You could title that map "white redneck density" or "Bubbaland" and it would be right on.

doggie re-THINK? Not going to happen. He has only one answer to everything - "It's all the fault of black/brown/yellow/red people."

But doggie won't show her birth certificate. Wonder why?

Yea, it is funny that WI has a balanced budget. And that our personal and corporate tax rates are already lower than MN. Just keep raising your tax rates in MN - which you will undoubtedly do again - and see how competitive MN will be in the long run.

The Vikings seems to fit right in with this messed up state.

Did you guys even use the interactive map and change the listing from ALL Recipients-->children-->white-->black?
Did you see the colors on the map change?

Did you look at the chart at the bottom, listing the oercentages per county?

The worst metric is for the kids.

By any metric, it's worse in the red states than in the blue, yet it's the residents of the red states that keep whining about "sucking the g'mint tit, the g'mint spends too much", etc.

Just ask doggie, good ole boy from Kaintukky.

You may have missed my point, SSD. I'm generalizing here of course, but the right likes to paint the welfare state as an "urban" problem. Clearly, it's not just an urban poblem and the Times map reveals that very vividly.

Yes, your personal and corporate tax rates are lower than MN. I've lived in MN for about 13 years now, I've spent plenty of time in WI, and have studied the comparisons between quality of life, business quality and success, and the sales of paint thinner for human consumption. The only thing Wisconsin beats Minnesota in is the last category, other than state education, which will soon turn south due to the outside state sponsored control of your governor. You cannot honestly expect anyone with any knowledge about the two states to consider Wisconsin a more progressive, successful, and beautiful place to live than Minnesota, can you?

If so, you are delusional. Perhaps you should lay off the paint thinner. Wisconsin is a good state to live in, from most reports. But compared to Minnesota? Good luck with that. Yes, we pay more in taxes, but we have a HELL of a lot to show for that that Wisconsonites can only dream about. State Parks? DNR-related activities? Big business? Culture? Friendly people? Tall buildings? Outdoor activities - any time of year? Taking care of roads in the winter? Amount of teeth in human heads? (Sorry, that was a low blow...).

Taxes pay for a heck of a lot. It's easy to see, if you actually spend time in both states.

Pay no mind to Mags, Chad. I've spent my share of time in Minnesota and it is indeed a beautiful state. I kidded Dogs about Kentucky but the truth is I've spent my share of time in Kentucky too and it's a beautiful state as well. I'm really not one for state bashing. It seems kinda silly to me.

Trench, I agree completely. I think Wisconsin is a wonderful state in many ways. I would rank it very highly compared to most of the other states I've lived in and visited. I was merely responding to Mags' diatribe about Minnesota, which I maintain is worth arguing.

U will hear all the time how NJersey is so beatin down by taxes. The perks those people get in Jersey i would have no problem paying for if it was in Pa. Beautiful parks, flawless streets. I bet for car repair alone in Pa, from theses god awful streets, would almost offset the cost alone. Njersey is low in crime with lots of cops controlling the streets. Tough to even find a cop in Pa. School district one of the best in the country.

Obviously you've never been to Mississippi, but I agree, MN and WI are mighty nice places.
