Congrats to OU and LSU for making it the the NC game. This will be the 2nd straight year USC is the best team in the nation not playing in the championship game. Only difference is this year USC deserved to play in the NC game. USC will get to still play for a split NC because the AP along with the coaches poll both have USC clearly #1 and I agree with them. AP chooses a NC and the BCS chooses.

The good news for USC is, as Pete Carroll says, "we're just getting started." Going to be pretty scary for the rest of college football to see the product USC puts out when USC "plans" on contending for NC's which is suppose to be within the next 2 years. These USC teams dominating right now are just the beginning phases of Pete Carroll building a dynasty at USC.

The Rose Bowl is my favorite bowl game so I am not too dissapointed. USC vs Michigan is a classic historical matchup and will give me the chance to make a lot of money. I am dumping my account on USC at -4 or less or ML if USC is favored by more than 4pts. Especially if USC gets healthier in the next few weeks!

Congrats again to OU and LSU! Both teams along with USC deserved a chance to play in the NC game.

I must disagree with you. You can't say they were the best team in the nation last year but then say unlike last year they deserved to be there this time. Two teams went to the BCS Title game undefeated last year & were clearly the two best teams.

It should be LSU and USC in the title game. We have all given you a hard time the last few weeks and I actually feel for you a little. I said a little!! What you need to understand is that you thought you had it all figured out and you called too early. Hope you learned something. Also, do not say that USC has the best team in the nation, LSU is as good or better and would make for a great game, but saying USC is the best is nothing more than a homer response. They might be, but we will not know will we

The best team in the nation last yr was the Ohio St Buckeyes, were you in a coma last yr. You are such a homer that no one can even speak or argue intelligently with you because you can not be objective AT ALL.

AFTER THE BIG TEN CHAMPS BEAT usc, you'll realize how usc would have lost at least 2-3 games playing that schedule instead of cream puffs Cal - Ariz - Wash - UCLA - Ariz St - Stanford and you insist they are the best in the nation unbelievable.

I said USC was the best team in the nation last year, not the national champions. Ohio St. was the National Champions last year and deserved it. That does not make them the best team in the nation. Just my opinion and I am not the only one who thinks that.

USC vs Michigan is an exciting matchup but i am very confident USC will beat Michigan. I already know if USC is -4 or less I might bet my whole account on USC or might just take USC ML to be safe. I'll even post you the wager to prove it that I am not all talk. I am VERY confident USC will not only beat Michigan but by double digits. But i have not capped the game yet so not betting until i do so. But from top of my head I think I might just bet 10k on USC (my whole account). Might have to use 3-4 sportsbooks though. The best bet IMO would be USC -3 over LSU. Michigan scares me a little more than LSU because I think Michigan has a better offense. Also disapointed because I had $100 to win $1500 on USC to win NC. Last year I had $100 to win $5000 on USC to win NC. Both years almost won. I can tell you this, I am betting $1000 USC wins pac 10 and $1000 USC wins NC next year. BANK ON IT! USC only has 2 question marks, losing 3 OL and 2 DB's, otherwise "everyone" is coming back.

USC had 2 losses (they also played #1 SOS and both losses were away and by 3 (in OT) and 7pts). USC did not deserve shot in NC game, but they were the best team in the nation.

Should be a great game Scott. . . both teams have very balanced offenses. . . edge to Michigan in the running game, clear advantage to USC with their passing attack, but I do feel Michigan's secondary is just a little better than USC's. Luckily we have a chance to find out on the field instead of going around in circles on here!

GL if you do bet your entire account on the USC ML. . . I think its a pretty good bet but I'm hoping to get 7 points for Michigan.

Ok now you want to focus on the human polls but a few weeks ago when you were putting down LSU & saying they had no shot to make it to the Sugar Bowl you were bragging about this SOS rating, that BCS rating. Why am I not surprised that now the #'s went against you, you run to the next thing.

Give up LSU is the best team in the country, they proved it by beating better teams. USC should be there as #2 considering what Oklahoma did. I will give you that as I agree they got shafted there as far as appearance is concerned.

My biggest bet of the year will be on Michigan + whatever they win the game outright; Perry will run wild on that soft USC defense and Navarre and Edwards should have big days as well; USC will go down as the most overrated Number 1 teams in the nation. They just gave up 540 yard to an average at best Ostate team at home with the NC game at stake what is Michigan going to do to them. Ostate showed how make Leinhart throw picks just put a little heat on him and he folds; I expect Michigan to blitz early and often and force lienhart into mistakes; that will be the difference in this game

The biggest thing I can tell you is this. Michigan does not bring anything to the table that USC has not seen/faced. Michigan is a VERY GOOD football team, but they do not bring anything that will suprise USC.

NOW, USC brings something Michigan has not seen. AN AWESOME OFFENSE. I am 100% Michigan has not seen an offense like USC. Does that mean USC will blow over MICHIGAN? WHo knows, but i do know and nobody else knows how well Michigan will defend the USC offense because they have not seen an offense as good as USC. ADVANTAGE USC because USC offense is very potent with an awesome OC. Look what USC did to IOWA last year in Orange Bowl. Not saying Michigan is better or worse than Iowa.

Both teams have great rushing attack, "slight" edge to Michigan because USC passes a lot too. Michigan does have edge with DB's. I am not happy with the DB play with USC. Its good/average but not great. Also USC LB's should be healthy for the bowl game!

USC -7 is too high for me to bet soo much. When i bet HUGE i like to have -3 or less. I am praying i can get USC -3 or -4. PRAYING! I also would not mind giving up -200 on ML.

Well Scott, USC has not faced an offense as awesome or balanced as Michigan either. . . both teams will put up points. Special teams may play a huge part as well.

First off we aren't Buddy's. Second, I'm a Penn St. fan (Ouch) so I have no loyalty for either team. But I'm sorry LSU has played tougher compitition and has played better at the end. I don't think Scott understands just how much Michigan relies on their rushing attack. . . it has always been superior to just about any team's running game yearly which is why the Wolverines are the winningest football team in college football history. But that's ok. . . we'll see what happens on January 1st

USC has one of the best DL's in the nation. I think they are the best DL in the nation. Perry will not be stopped but should be controlled IMO.

USC wanted to schedule Miami this year, they said NO, USC wanted Miami next year they said NO, USC scheduled series with OU and is going to play V-Tech in the BCA classic. USC wants to play anybody anywhere dude. T

To answer your question, USC is not in the NC because computers and SOS is keeping them out. HUMAN POLLS have USC "clearly" #1 and USC will get a split NC if they beat MICHIGAN. NOT USC fault the teams they played tanked. HOW LUCKY was LSU that WSU starting QB got hurt for last game of year against UW and UW faced a FROSH QB and scored a last min. TD to beat WSU. Not USC fault that all 4 OOC opponents tanked. 3/4 OOC opponents were bowl teams last year and AU was pre-season #1. Do your research.
