Kansas City area for who knows how long....
running late. first NHL game is 10am local time. ouch!

Betting hockey in Las Vegas here isn't like planetpinnacle.
All places i've been have 20 cent lines, many break to 30 or 40 cents at -150. You'd have to be a hell of a hockey 'capper to win against that in the long run!

gonna check out some books today that have the cal-neva line they say is better.

Boston--Shields, must be. Grahame just finished back to back starts. Shields off a bad start, usually very sharp in next. Might have to be, Boston played their "top guns" alot last night. This from Boston paper:

''We just weren't generating a lot early in the game,'' said Ftorek, who played nine players more than 20 minutes and five under 10. ''We really felt we needed to shorten it up and we had to move some people around. We don't normally do that but we felt today was necessary and fortunately it worked out. It might cost us [today] but we got our 2 [points].''

NY Rangers--Blackburn. who else? He's getting lots of work, and it shows: 3.83 gga last 6 starts, at least 3 let in net in each...

Edmonton---Salo, must be. Markannen started last night. Before his loss to TB thurs, Salo went 5-0-1-0 with a 0.82 GAA and a .969 save percentage.....Oilers under has hit 8-3 on road.

ATL---Dafoe sez AT paper, which also notes that Thrashers have given up avg 4.2 goals/game since Dafoe's arrival, worse than before he got there.

STL---Brathwaite I guess. He's had some back to back starts, and you sure don't wanna use a backup here.....STL 3-1 ATS this season on 0 days rest.

Detroit--Joseph. Legace's MRI results due today, and Lamothe call up to back up Joseph.

TB--Hodson? Khabib has some starts on 0 days rest, but those he had more time to rest before and after...

from papers: TB is 3-7-2 at Chicago, where it has not won since October 1997 (0-4-0). Blackhawks are 8-4-1 at home. ... Chicago was the last team to shut out Lightning on Jan. 4. ... Tampa Bay is 0-2-1-1 on the second of back- to-back games.

Chicago---Thibault, it must be. He's had plenty of rest and off a bad start, so should be sharp....He's 11-2-1 vs TB.... Under is 7-4 when he starts at home this season.....under is 4-1 last five meetings.

Nashville---Vokoun. Paper sez "Goalie Mike Dunham, who suffered a strained groin last Tuesday, practiced on a limited basis yesterday morning. But Trotz said he's uncertain when Dunham will next be able to play.

Tomas Vokoun will start again tonight in Anaheim, and Jan Lasak likely will be the backup once more."

Anaheim--Giguere, must be....Ducks are 5-1 last 6 meetings vs Preds

post corrections, etc below!

good luck to all!!
