I use a system, as do most handicappers. It's a point system I set up based on specific variables for each and every game. You and I suffer or should I say suffered from" bet your ass off syndrome". If I was having a good day , I might wager on a boarder line line play just because. You might have noticed my season MLB record, after looking back I found I lost the majority of my units on fav's and by chasing my losses. I still have my same basic system in place, but now only bet on games I consider to be value bets. I now throw out a heavy fav that scored just above a Live Dog. Why drop 2 or more units down to win 1. As a matter of fact, under my new way of thinking, I will not bet a fav (in baseball only) until the ALL-STAR break. There is more money to be made on dogs in baseball than any other sport. As far as how do I find value? Value lies in the eyes of the beholder. Find a system that is yours and yours only. What is value to me, might not be to someone else.hedgehog0721 said:what is your new way of handicapping bases? I agree with the underdogs are normally the best bets. How do you find value? My problem is that I bet too many games. thanks in advance
