quit playing baseball 2 weeks ago but this is do or die so i will either win a nice chunk or lose but took angels -110 cal/neva for a very very large play.

appier has been ok in his 2 starts and if they go down 0-2 they can kiss their ass good bye so it is a survival play more then any stat or trend or this is or that, if angels lose tonight it is over with and you can bank that, they will not come back being down 2.

good luck .

Are you kidding me? Anaheim, arguably the best team in the AL since early in the season (tops in BA and ERA), beat the Yanks...and they're "happy to be here"?

Washburn looked like a scared rabbit? Gee, I don't know if he feared the Yankee line-up more than the Giants, but it just might be possible. The Giants have how many legitimate sticks? Bonds, Kent and...and...and...Lofton? Aurellia? Santiago? Snow?I'm sure the Giants petrified Washburn after he had dealt with the NYY. Washburn is the most fearless pitcher in the Angel rotation - he might get hit, but he won't be scared.

I don't think he was scared at all.
I just think he was too excited, actually.
Did you see his smiling face after the first two homers?
He surely thought their bats will scored some for him.
Only when he was homered by J.T. Snow and it's 1:4 then there showed some frustration.

To answer some questions......my opinions....

yes, the angels are just happy to be here.....their first World Series in franchise history.

Yes, Washburn looked scared out there....there's a big difference being in the ALCS and the World Series

As far as his "smiles" after he gave up home runs......a frightened man hides nervousness with smiles

Plus, when he pitched against the Yanks...the Yanks were a slumping team at that time.......the Giants come in here like a smoking gun...so beating the Yanks is not that big of a deal as some might think...

Hey, I made a pick and some comments BEFORE the game. Giants almost pulled it out...I lost , life goes on...

I'm sure Fletcher had alot more on the game than I did, so congrats to fletch...

It's windy and cold in san fran tonight....its only 2:30 pm and it chilly as hell...

Gool luck tonight guys....appreciate all your opinions...:D

So what's the difference between the Angels and the D-Backs from last yr? BOTH of them were in their 1st WS. And yes, Arizona won as underdogs against the public-backed Yankees. Anaheim is actually favored in this Series. No one is underestimating them now.

As for the Yanks "slumping" in the LCS? Actually, it was the pitching staff that failed miserably.....many of them tired, old, broken down at the tail end of a long season.
