Three games I like for today:
WASHINGTON NATIONALS (+123) I hope I didn't miss the bus on this one, but all the momentum seems to be in Washington's favour here - 2 comeback wins from yesterday, a home unbeaten streak for the franchise vs. Arizona that goes back to the days in Montreal and the Diamondbacks' current form of losing 4 in a row and 12 of their past 15.
Webb has been playing a rather slippery slope his past few starts - walking 13 batters while striking out only 11. These "alive" National bats may make him pay if he continues to issue the free passes.
On the other hand, Armas has been brutal for the Nats lately, but if nothing else, his arm should be fresh, as he as only pitched 5 innings combined in his past two starts.
CLEVELAND INDIANS (+145) Again, just two ball clubs playing at different levels right now. Indians lucky to hang on last night, but they have been getting the breaks that go along with hot streaks right now, and they ARE hot - winners of 5 in a row and 9 of 10.
BRAVES/PHILLIES under 10 (-115) Hudson has pitched well vs. the Phillies this year (2-0 / 1.42 ERA) and also like the fact that few of these Braves hitters have ever seen Moyer.
Good Luck today Fellas......Just about time to get back into a couple of cold ones for this long weekend. :toast:
