Iowa St vs N Carolina (NCAA Tournament 2nd Round)(CBS)

Iowa St +16
:mj14: :mj14:

Everyone that watched carolina biltz oakland u yesterday 96-68 , and got all excited ... calm down!
Remenber oakland won the mid-continent conference, and came into the big dance with a stunning 12-18 record. Are you kidding me ? The cyclones can play a little ball , and getting 16 is ridiculous . Iowa st has covered 11 of its last 14 and should be a piece of cake . take the 16 points and go to the bank

If you watched that first round game involving the Huskies, they had a very comfortable lead and got lazy down the stretch and led C Florida get within six with under four minutes to go after being by 18. Calhoun won't let that happen against a team that has shown can come back, the Wolfpack. In NC State's first game, they overcame a double digit 2nd half deficit to beat the 49ers, who were also lazy down the stretch. Lightning doesn't strike twice. Look for the Huskies to roll by double digits today.

I love the way this 'Nova team is playing, but another team that got lazy in the 2nd half and almost opened the door all the way for the Lobos. Didn't happen, and the 'Cats are here. Allan Ray, Curtis Sumpter and Randy Foye are playing like a trio that doesn't want to end their season. I watched the end of that Florida game, as the Gators looked awfully tired. Imagine after playing Ohio what kind of a step up in class this 'Nova team will be. This one is all Wildcats.

Rick Pitino is one of, if not the best coach in the country not only in getting his team ready for a game in short notice (see their Conf. USA tourney title), but one of the best period. He has the talent this year and now that Wake has lost, a great shot at reaching his first Final Four since winning it all with the rival Wildcats from Kentucky back in the lat 90's. G Tech has been a nice story, rallying at the end of the year to beat UNC in the ACC Tourney, and get into the dance. You can't expect this run to go on forever. Conf. USA champion Louisville rolls on.
