UT this thing made sense to me at the beginning. Years ago I saw a stat that 62% of the time the home team wins Game Two in a three game series after a Game One loss. I played that angle for a long time with success as long as I did not pay much over -150 for the home team in Game Two. I saw your system (angle) so I though WHY not it ties in with that old stat. My only modification was to play ONE HALF of a percent of BR to open the series and then Game Two would be to WIN about 1% of BR.

My thinking here was I would stretch my BR and not go bust on a LOSING STREAK series much like the Padres are experiencing currently.

I am going to stick with what was "your" system with modifications by me, but I had to post that it is hard to go undefeated and the very fact that you quit on the Padres consitutes a Loser in the record. I actually posted a negative dividend to the system with the last 3 game home series loss with the Padres and marked the record as such with the number of losses equal to the total $ lost in that home series divided by my amount lost. I also did not allocate my entire BR to this system. Going into this week I had 29 of 30 series played as winners with SEATTLE getting swept at home. That placed me at 29 - 6 and +22.7 units. (The six loses were the total $ lost divided by the unit $ goal I have to win for the series chase.)

This weeks numbers are not calculated yet.

Good luck to all !!!

i jumped off san diego and divided the losses up to recoup them although they havent hit the 6th home game yet.

I want to analyze each team in each series and take the one I think will win 1 game and play that way. It will weed out the Marlins and Padres of the bunch.

making shit up? its called filters, i said I was using them. You just try and throw mud-thats its. I started filtering my plays, and you go off. All you know how to do is throw mud. Just shows you cant win, so you gotta do this. Fine, whatever. I know this system makes money so keep running your mouth.

Hey i got an idea, if my stuff is such shit, why dont you challenge me to see who ends up with the most $$$$ (UNITS) at the end of the year? A real man would step up and accept the challenge, you on the other hand.........

UT,

I am not here to bash you. We are all adults here, and we are trying to make money.

I actually appreciate the fact that you sharing the system with us. It has given us all something to think about.

I would just like you to explain exactly what you are doing here.

I understand that you are modifying the system to weed out bad teams. I think that is smart.

But, my question for you is this.

You said that after 6 games, you stop chasing and eat the loss, right?

Here the thing. Let's say you have been chasing the Braves for the past 5 games, and let's say that they lose today again to the Mets.

That will make 6 straight losses for the Braves. Do you realize how much you will have lost just trying to win $50?

If the games were all even money then you would be down $3,150.

That's if they are all even money. However, we are talking about the Braves here, and they have been favored in most of these games.

So, add in the juice and we are talking around $5,000 just to win $50? It might even be more than that, but I have not done the exact math on their specific games.

Then what do you do? If you just eat the loss at that point, then you have just lost your entire profit for the whole month.

If you could explain this to me, I would appreciate it. Or, if I am misunderstanding something, then please clarify it. Thanks.

Buffalo - I think that's what we are ALL saying!!

And yes, the Braves have been favorites in all games so it would be close to 5k to win 50...combine that with the shit-bag Padres and you're probably talking at least $12,500 to win $100!!!

Now not only is that just plain ridiculous but I would have a hard time covering all of those wagers...

One other point - you are exactly right, the Padres and the Braves lose 6 then I'm stuck, I have some guy beating down my door to collect his 12G's and I'm supposed to spread that over the rest of the season/home teams??? I don't get it either.

Don't get me wrong UT, I like the premise, I usually take the home team in a series and if they lose chase them until they win...if the lines are ridiculous (i.e., Pedro, Randy J, Schilling, etc.) or if the teams suck (Royals, Minne, SD) I pass - unless I'm going to the game haha!!

I think I'll try a little variation starting Monday.
I plan to Chase all 1st place teams IF THEY'RE PLAYING AT HOME to win one unit.

I'll also be playing AGAINST all LAST PLACE teams when they're on the road.

I realize I'll always be laying wood, but I think it'll work out alright.

I can't believe the tremendous number of a**holes in this thread. What UT has done is introduced a system to the board for everyone to look at and adjust to what works for them.

If everyone uses some common sense when playing this system, it can be profitable long term. You just have to make adjustments along the way. Do not play KC at home, do not play Florida at home. If a team loses the first two games at home, then you need to start looking ahead to the next series to see who they play if you plan to continue to chase them.

For example, last week washington was at home vs. Cincy. They lost the first two games. In doing a little research, I learned that washington's next series was at St. Louis and they were starting a AAA guy the first game. I decided to chase against Washington from there on. They ended up losing to Cincy and their 1st game against St. Louis.

Most of these series are also decided by the second game. In many cases you may have a profit locked in for that set of series and not have to chase for a third game. The idea here is to make a profit every week.

If you don't like what he is trying to do, just stay out of his thread. I have had a profit every week of this season using this system as a base for my plays and I appreciate UT's help.

Stoops,

I agree with you 100%.

I can't speak for anyone else in this thread, but I like the idea myself.

I have been using a modified form of this for a few years, and I have done quite well.

If it looks like I am knocking UT........that is not my intent.

I really appreciate that he has shared his system with us.

I m just trying to figure out exactly what he does.

Just the other day he stated that he has been using this system for the past 4 years, and that he is up a ton of money.

Now, just yesterday, he starts changing all the rules and chasing different teams.

Why would you do that if the system has worked so well over the past 4 years?

Wouldn't you stick to what you have been doing?

I just don't get that.

I think this sudden change in the system has a lot of people scratching their heads about the legitimacy of the system.

The other concern that I have is this. UT stated that he will chase for 6 games.

If the 6th game happens to lose, your bankroll could be wiped out. So, I really don't understand this part of the system either.

What do you do when the 6th game loses?

I have asked UT about it, but he has not responded.

If you have answers to any of my questions, then please feel free to respond.

Thanks.

I think the problem is calling this a "system" and claiming the system has 0 losses for the year.
When you lose that should be counted in the loss column. Pretty simple really.
If you want to change the parameters just to make yourself look better that's up to you, but don't expect some of us with half a brain to not see through the nonsense.

The guy is up money so congrats to him, but posting that you haven't lost all year( and yes I know that's for the series) just makes you look foolish, then getting defensive about it makes you look even worse.

Like one of the other guys said, by this logic you could just say 'Hey I divided up all the games I lost in my life and put it all on the Yanks yesterday, now my record is 10,000 wins and 0 losses. See how good I am.
