neither particularly strong but feel like theyre both worth a few bucks tonight. both swept the season series with their 'better-record' opponent. creighton is playing solid basketball right now to close the season. theyre shooting the 3 well, taking care of the basketball, and playing good defense. santa clara has the pseudo- home court edge tonight and are never an easy out in the wcc tourney. and when theyre hot from 3, especially bailey, they can take out anyone in that conference. think both of these teams make it 3 in a row over their conference foes.

taking a hard look at ncstate. this is another one of those matchups where the dog always gives the chalk fits. for those up on the rpi and/or ncaa bubble watch, does ncstate pretty much assure themselves of an at-large with a win tonight? that would put them at 8-8 and 18-11. i know they dont have that marquee win over carolina or duke. will this win tonight be enough if they get it? wake tanked in this game last year and let ncstate beat em in the season finale. deja vu?

i see where youre comin from. personally, i think wake is a #1 seed even with a loss tonight. to me, there top 4 teams in the country are head and shoulders above everyone else right now (illinois, wake, kentucky, and carolina). bc is nowhere near that class and kansas isnt either after what theyve shown lately. so i think wake is ok even with a loss.

day -- you're right they could still get a #1 seed, so "nothing to play for" is a little strong. To get that, Wake would have to win tonight and get to the finals of the tournament. I was speaking of more immediate concerns. Perhaps a let down for no chance at the title. I just think, Hodge playing his last game at home, and lots on the line means nc state is the play.

what a strange first half for creighton. up by 9 midway through. then piss that all away. then score 5 points in the final 0:06 of the half to go into the break up 7. looks like the jays are getting smashed on the boards but forcing a ton of wsu turnovers. found a creighton +700 to win the mvc tourney future at carib that i grabbed a few days ago. so gonna make a real small play on wichita in the 2h just as a semi-hedge. but still need creighton a lot more. siu gettin bounced sure was nice.

BC is in a better conference in my opinion. If Wake losses it should push BC ahead as of right now. However, I think BC is very overrated and played the softest schedule in the big east, but record wise I feel that it should help them immensly with a Wake forest loss.

I am leaning heavy towards NC State, so hopefully we all jump on and win big. Like I said the Williams and Paul mismatch worries me, plus the added pressure on Hodge to have a big game.

I will post my thoghts in my thread later if anyone cares. Both of you have good points. I hope we all end up on the right side and make some cash.

even if i do play ncstate, it will be a very small play. i know some guys are hittin em hard. it would be a minor play for me though. nothin crazy. i still think wake is the best team in the country and they are the team i have money invested in to win the title at 10/1. so i certainly think very highly of them. i think they might drop this one tonight, but like you said the mismatches (especially williams in my opinion) make me a little leery. but i think state finds a way. we'll see.

I know, the more people I see hitting this game hard on NC State worries me more and more. I originally saw it as a smart play and now getting more and more concerned. I may make a play on NC State, but holding off still to gather more info.

mtsu tried to keep the game in the halfcourt in the 1h. it didnt work. theyre down 9 and unless the tempo picks up, theyre gonna be done for the season. lafayette has scorers to keep the pressure on mtsu and i like the fact that the game isnt too close right now where theyd resume a halfcourt, grind-it-out game right out of the locker room. probably gonna see some fouls at the end of this one.

that Loss by NC state is also HUGE for my terps. They now have the advantage over NC State (State hasnt beat 1 ranked team all yr) and we have 2 wins over duke. That was HUGE!!!

i think im the streakiest capper in the history of this site. ive had my awful moments. but the weekend has been good to me with some big plays and moneylines.

and then i catch a win on the middle tennessee total by a hook. bout damn time.

moneyline has climbed from +120 up to +140. i'll take a shot on that as well. if all goes well, broncos/zags in the title game.
