Both big games today are to tough...lean one way then the other...glad some of you are taking sides..going to pass..but will play "one off the beaten path play".

South Carolina St -2 over Southern *
Its a MEAC-SWAC conference challenge....played at Southern...SC has a red shirt freshman at qb..only went 5-6 in the MEAC lyr year...but have a solid front 7 defense...they return 14 starters... Southern has a 4 yr starter at qb and a top running back in Tillery 1,600 yds...Howard the qb is about 2,500 yds shy of 10,000...logic tells me to take the home team with experienced qb and rb....but its a "off the beaten path game" so throw logic out..Bulldogs win by a few on the road..

yesterday 2-2 +1

overall 11-6 +10*'s

Texas really looked good....think every one drank to much Kool aid including me...

"off the beaten path games" 3-0 Bucknell crushed Marist.... South Dakota St and Sam Houston also won big...didn't get to post it but North Texas was -18 over Lamar and won by 30- or 40...look out... they have Smoo coming up next....I know a couple of my buddies are making fun of me with these games but their winning....hopefully will continue....GL today

Another reason to support SCSU

Southern has level 3 ARP restrictions which mean they did not get a spring football camp. So, July 31st when they started practice it was their first practices of the year. While most schools get spring and fall camp SOuthern does not. Add into that there is A LOT of talk down south around some of the HBCU schools, including Southern, that they should drop down to Division 2 due to the insurmountable losses the athletic department experiences.

Make no Mistake- Southern offense is VERY talented but coach Pough's SCSU defense is FEROCIOUS. I would not be suprised to see SCSU to capitalize on the opening game mistakes that Southern makes and wins a hard hitting slopping game.

I caught the end of it...and I use that word b/c SC St WR dropped a pass late that would have most likely given them the win. I guess at (-2) they still wouldn't have covered.

Deep pass late in the game...the guy was wide open and hit him in stride and just missed it. Felt so bad for him. He was "Robin Williams in The Best Of Times" wide open. They still ended up getting close but couldn't punch it in.
