Anaheim at Chicago....................................................................................

Chicago is 21-5-4 at home
Anaheim is 10-18-3 on road

Teams have met twice this season, each winning on home ice. Anaheim 5-2 (11/2), and Chicago 2-1 (12/30). The next and final season meeting is in Anaheim March 15.

Anaheim is 7-3 last 10, but 1-4 last four.
Chicago is 4-6 last 10, and 2-2 last four.

Chicago just lost 2-3 at home to MTL. They haven't yet lost two in row at home this season.

Chi goalie Thibault has just dropped two, he has yet to lose three consecutive starts. He has been working with team goalie consultant, the famous Russian goalie Tretiak, to video review his performances and get mentally prepared.

Thibault is 7-10-1 vs Anaheim, 3.04 gga, .880 save pct.

Anaheim is 1-4 on 3 day's rest, 0-1 after a loss
Chicago is 5-2 on 3 days rest, 2-1 after a loss.

Anaheim's next game is in two days at Atlanta
Chicago next take on Carolina in the Windy City tuesday.

Anaheim's Chouinard is out from injury sustained in last game, and so is first line center Andy McDonald. Coach told OC Register that McDonald might just be out for this one game.
Anaheim's Steve Rucchin is back and played in last game, but was not 100%.

sure enough, overnite line is Chi -.5 -180 and over 5 +100

San Jose at Dallas

San Jose at Dallas

Dallas is 11-13-5 at home
SJ is 16-12-5 away

papers quote Dallas coach "There's a strong possibility that Marty will go in [sunday]. Coming off the game, we'll chat about it". He was very good in that game, with terrific defense by team.

Sharks 1-0-1-1 vs Dallas this season. The victory and tie in Dallas. That victory was the last meeting, Dec 17.

Dallas needs points bad to keep it's tenuous hold on playoff spot.

under is 5-0 when SJ plays day game
over 3-1 in Dallas last 4 games
over 3-0-1 last four SJ games
over hit 2-2-2 in 6 meetings of 2001

.........below pasted from my other post, in Rebel's "Ishockey" thread.....

Dallas also playing 3rd game in 4th night, with the b/b. Teams in such situation this season won 34%.

Dallas also 2-5 at home in first game after a multi-game road trip. 1-4 if last game was a win.

But Dallas played so well at Colorado last night.

And SJ has that funny stat, that they are 2-22-4-4 in day games with faceoff before 7pm PST. The
two wins were the last two day game starts they had.

Nabokov is 2-5-2 vs Dallas, 2/80 gga, .895 pct. March is Nobby's only losing month (3-9) and sunday his worst day (1-4).
Nobby went 6-0 in Feb, 1.17 gga, .952 pct, 2 shutouts.

SJ is 15-10-4 on 1 days rest. 3-6-3 on 1 days rest after a loss.
Dallas is 7-3 on 0 days rest. 3-2-0 on 0 day after win.

Goalies?

Goalies?

Well, bit of suprise on afternoon goalies.
Passmore instead of Thibault, and Turco in.

No confirmation on goalies for Columbus/Phx game. I'm sure they will use Burke, Phx needs points badly and have rests in between next several games. Could see Tugnutt on b/b nights, since he was hot last night. He did that once, back in oct.

Columbus paper does have this bit:

BATTLE WEARY -- The Jackets won't have much time to rest before their game tonight in Phoenix.
That's not a good thing because there were a lot of battered bodies in the wake of yesterday.

The worst of the lot was captain Lyle Odelein, who was struck above the left eye on a clearing attempt by teammate Deron Quint. It happened late in the first period. Odelein bled profusely. It took a lot of scraping to remove the red blots from the ice.

"I hardly ever bleed,'' Odelein said. "All the fights I've had, and I've never been a bleeder. But this got through the bone and into the muscle, and that's why it bled so much. It surprised me. All I could see at first was stars and black. I knew I was cut bad, but I didn't know how bad.''

Odelein's brow was sutured -- he matched a career high by taking 21 stitches -- and he returned for the second period and played the rest of the game.
