whoops! missed first game.
WA---Kolzig, it's gotta be. He's usually sharp after a blowout. So far this season he's 8-8-1 with a 2.69 goals-against average and 92.0 save percentage.
ATL---Dafoe sez Atl paper. So far he is 1-1-0 with a 3.50 goals-against average and 86.8 save percentage.
(Usually reliable WA Post sez Nurminen is probable, but that must be a mistake.)
Calgary--Turek, I assume. Mc Lennan's back is still hurting and they called up Szuper for the second time this season. He hasn't seen any NHL action yet....Iginla has scored twice in last 58 shots on goal.
Detroit---Joseph I expect. He has a bad outing to bounce back from, and has two shutouts this season vs Flames.
Chicago---Andersson? Chicago Herald said they just might use him if Thibault wasn't sharp last night. And Thibault was pulled, Andersson stopped all 4 he faced (in 13 mins, so not much of a test). But Thibault got some rest and could be fired up, and coach might want to use that...
Anaheim--Giguere it would have to be.
NY Ranger note, from Larry Brooks in today's NY Post:
"This afternoon's game marks the third of a stretch in which the Rangers play six games in nine days. By next Sunday, the team will have played 31 games in the season's first 61 days, a rather insane burden. Perhaps the workload is part of the reason the team has been outscored 19-5 in the last 15 third periods. "
good luck to everyone!
