doing this early again, so should be some updates later...
Dallas---Tugnutt is my guess. Turco doesn't usually do consecutive night starts, and had his worst game of season last night.....Dallas is 0-3-1 at Carolina since Jan '98, and 0-1-2 since Modano out, and .500 on road now.......paper sez "About half the team was battling cases of the flu. Emotional games at Philadelphia and Detroit had taken a mental toll".....Downey out with flu, and Mahotra--who scored last night--and Robidas "battled thru serious cases".
Dallas is 3-2 on 0 days rest this season, over hitting 4-1.
Carolina---Weekes I expect. He was bit rusty in first game back after two weeks on IR for concussion, but still won....Carolina has won 2 in last 8 games overall--wins vs horrible ATL and Calgary.....they have scored more than 2 goals just twice in last 9 games, with under hitting 11-5 at home this season.....
Vasciek expected back tonight, and coach "Maurice also reunited Ron Francis, Jeff O'Neill and Sami Kapanen late Friday, and the BBC Line of Rod Brind'Amour, Bates Battaglia and Erik Cole practiced together Saturday.".....Home team 7-1-2 last 10 meetings.
Los Angeles----Potvin I assume.....Kings enforcer Sawyer, second in NHL penalty minutes, is out with concussion and Mike Brown recalled from Cinci....Deadmarsh didn't make this 2 game road swing.
Chicago---Thibault, I expect.....Chi 5-1-1 last 7, and LA has won 5 of last 6....covers sez
The under is 4-1 when LA is on two days rest.
The under is 8-3 when Chicago is home.
The under is 5-2-2 in the past nine meetings.
The under is 9-6 when LA on road this season
Phoenix---Boucher it must be. He's seen a ton of work lately, but been real fine last few......away team is 8-1-1 last 10 meetings
Anaheim---Giguere I suppose. Streaky goalie, he is just off his first bad game in a long while......Carney and Salei will play tonight say papers.....Ducks 0-5-2 vs Pacific Div teams this season.
a ton of games tomorrow and then none for 2 days.
good luck for all your endeavors and Happy Holidays!
