Left Austin yesterday and it was 76 degrees....arrived in NY...snow storm...8 inches...my 2 cars were under about 2 feet of snow because the village snowmen just plow right into me...my buddy who is supposed to plow me of course never got to me..hopefully today he comes by...I never told him I'm coming home for Christmas so I'm sure I'm the last to plow...thank god we live in the village and walked to a restaurant 2 blocks down from our house last nite since there is nothing in the frig...snow stopped and it was in the low 30's...I left my house real clean so my wife was very impressed ...today my daughter arrives from Philly with her new 3 month old baby....my wife asks if we could go up in the attic and get the baby crib down last nite....now my attic is one of those huge attics with over 1,000 sq feet...you could put a 2 bedroom apartment up there.......now for the past years we have had bats....every spring about 10-15 come in...a few get loose into the house...they perch up by a chimney and you can see them during the daytime.... they take off in sept and fly south....so for the 1st time i had a friend who came over and when they were out one nite sealed all 3 chimneys...bingo..it worked... they couldn't get back in and I finally won the "bat battle"...or so I thought so...Wife goes to Austin in August...bats sealed out in Sept... I stay until late Oct by myself...no bats ,no droppings.etc...report the bat war is over..my daughter who is coming up says..dad,there are no bats right?" I assure her they were defeated.. watching Jets-Miami game around 10.30 last nite.. i hear a scream..my wife yells out "a bat"...then I see a huge full grown bat with a wing span of Manute Bol{ exagerating a little} flying all over the rooms...... I get a broom and try to knock him down...must of nicked him but disapperared...wife says she hears him under the table in the kitchen....I put a huge glass bowl over him....put a piece of cardboard under it and slide the cardboard...he trapped...i have become a professional doing this...put it outside on the porch...bat is out of the house...around 2 today my daughter drives up from Philly.. I know the 1st thing she wil say before kissing me and my wife are " there are no bats right dad"? I will look at her right in the eye and say..No hon they sealed the openings in the fall"....I told my wife we have to conspire and lie...
I think this bat when they sealed the attic got stuck...so he has been alive for 2-3 months.. bats do hibernate in the north but most migrate...went to google and they said the bat could live up there for 2-3 months without leaving the attic....and I'm banking on one trapped bat,maybe sleeping,we woke him up last nite and he's out of the house now....if he has brothers and sisters I'm in big time trouble...what a night.....and then this morning I plow my car out by just ramming thru the snow....I get out and take off...trip to Ed's Deli to have breakfast with all my "boys"...2 blocks away.. I'm about 50 yds from my house and my car starts to skid into my neighbors car...the road is all iced over...only I didn't know that...how I didn't hit his car is amazing...I steered into the skid so I didn't fishtail and missed his car by 2 feet....unreal.....freak'in snow,bats in the house and almost an accident...and I've been home less then 12 hours...miss Texas already and thought I would never of said that....sorry for the boring ass story.. but I did capp last nite..

Hollowell is a big time player for Ga St...ODU offense is suspect..think this is a close game..
Illi St -6 over Joes **
Illi at home never loses and covers{ 5-0}.. Joes has those 2 gds newkirk and kimble who are good but on the road think Martelli boys are in trouble..Joes has the worst lowest assists ratio avg 11 a game...
Rutgers -4 over Fordham ****
RU is 10-1....Pikiell has done a terrific job working on defense and rebounding..but they have played nobody...they have Seton Hall next and then the Big-10 with Wisky..this is there last game to work on things...he has 3 6'2 gds that aren't bad..Johnson,Williams and Sanders...they can do everything but hit a 3...but inside Freeman 6'7 is there best player..then 7'0 Gettys is playing pretty good...and 6'9 Sa the other nite looked good on the bds....rams have been playing bad...there wins are against weak teams..they have no front line...Seng is 6'7 but slow. Hawkins the big gd is scoring...Chartouny their best player at the pt was 0-8 the other nite..has so much talent but not much around him...although Rutgers hasn't beaten anybody think they will have no problem vs the rams..the only 2 decent teams that the rams played East Tenn and UTA they lost...think Freeman,Gettys and company dominate the paint and the 3 gds are to tough to handle.. this game is at Madison Sq Garden....Pikiell would love to announce Rutgers is back..
North Car St -13 over Fairfield *****
Think Pack have way to much for the Stags to handle..Packs gds are solid with Smith, Henderson, and Dorn..all are big at 6'3,6'5 and 6'5...that size is forwards in the MAAC conf...those are 3 good gds with Smith who is a standout avg 18 pts.....Dorn the other nite can rebound..he avg 16 pts and 7 bds..inside they have Abu,Kapita, Johnson and Anya all 6'8,6'9 and 6'11....but wait Yurt at 7'0 is playing his 2nd game...he is a force..he had 12 pts and 4 bds the other day...Stags have nelson a good spot shooter,Cobb is avg 16 and inside Sidbe is avg 10 bds a game..inside they have Miln at 6'9..think he gets eaten up by the packs front line.. Stags have a history of elevating their game to who they play...but with the "Turk" entering the picture think Stags are in trouble...

Tigers have a lot of upperclassmen and Bama is loaded with puppies...game is in Birmingham...watched bama vs Texas fall apart 2 weeks ago...think the same...when it gets down to "crunch" tine experience and depth take over..
Zaga -10.5 over Tenn **
I know Vols had NC the other nite...but this Zag team plays unreal defense...they pressure the ball and smother outside shooting teams..they held Washington Zona and Florida to 8-47 from the 3..

7-1 +13*'s..only loss was Fl St game... GL today...sorry for the long boring ass story....if I'm not back in the next few days you can bet that bat had some brothers and sisters....
