5-1 yesterday. so much for giving back my profits. this is probably the best 3-week stretch of my life. and just in time, because i am awful during conference tournaments. so i know the next week will be brutal.

anyways, not much jumping out at me yet today. maybe once the lines on the tournament games are out. i'm also thinking about putting one unit on everything that could wreak havoc with the mac (kent, cmu, emu, ohio).

michigan st (-5.5) 1 unit. michigan state with nothing to play for... purdue blew them out the first time they played... the line is about a point higher than it should be... seems fishy. gotta lay the points.

thanks, guys. runs like this don't come around too often. i think it ends today, as i'm adding my first conference tourney game.

last year, i had a pretty good year in the mvc, but i've pretty much stayed away from it this year. only one game left...

northern iowa (+3) 1 unit. both teams were struggling at the end of the year. northern iowa had lost a few in a row, until their huge run late in the bracket buster game at siena. they didn't win that game (but they covered!!), but it did propel them to wins in their last 2 games, including a win over these redbirds. in fact, the panthers won both matchups against ill st this year, by 2 and by 4. i've never been a big believer in 'it's hard to beat a team 3 times in one year'. plus, the panthers have the added motivation of getting blown out by illinois state in the mvc tournament last year, 56-42.

i hope everybody was able to make a little money off this run. i would have gone 3-1 on those mac games, too.

anyways, it's been a long time since i didn't get killed during the conference tournaments, so i'll try to take it easy over the next week.
