well, finally at 60% for the year. i'll take it, after the way this season started. louisville did everything they could to not cover last night... and syracuse was just too tired to walk in the back door. hallelujah. i kept waiting for the munchkin that 'cuse put in at the end of the game to hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer. fortunately for me, for some odd reason, he didn't even bother shooting the ball until after the horn sounded.
playing 50% of the available games is normally too many, but what the heck?
duke (-6.5) 1 unit. duke has hardly been spectacular in the first 2 games in the tournament. but i have to believe fsu will suffer a bit of a letdown this afternoon, now that they pretty much know they're in the tournament.
purdue (-6.5) 2 units. this purdue team is unbelievably focused right now, after struggling their last few games of the regular season. in their first matchup with osu, osu shot 60% from the field (yes, 60%) and dominated the glass (34 rebounds to 18), but still needed to go to OT to win at home. and hummel didn't play for purdue. the next matchup? purdue turned the tables on the glass, pulling down 13 offensive rebounds (32-17 overall) and pulled away in the 2nd half to win by 25. as focused as purdue is right now, i expect another dominant performance.
next stop... the ncaa tournament!!
