Sunday, May 5th - Charlotte Hornets (4) vs. NJ Nets (1)

The Nets finished the regular season with the best record in the Eastern Conference entering the playoffs as the No. 1 seed in the East, and knocked off the Pacers in five games as they now turn their attention to the No. 4 seeded Hornets who are playing strong ball. The Nets showed some weaknesses in their series as it went to a game 5 that took NJ Double OT to eliminate the Pacers in game 5, as the Hornets had a much easier series ending it in game 4 pretty much having their way with the Magic.

During the regular season NJ took the series 3-1 straight up, but the two clubs split the cash. NJ has put a lot money in the Net's backer's pockets when playing at home, with an impressive home record ATS of 26-17-1...Not exactly thrilling the Jersey ''local guys''! But Charlotte will have something to say about that as they have a strong road record ATS of 25-8. Another number that favors the Hornets, when coming off 3 or more days rest they own an ATS record of 6-2-0. NJ is 5-4 when coming off 3 or more days rest.

Tuff to make money playing the side in this one, make your money on this one playing the total! The Nets allowed a relatively low 91.6 points per game in their series with the Pacers, as Charlotte has scored 101.4 points per game over its last five contest, well above the 94.1 points per game the team scored all season. The Hornets increase in points recently are coming from 3 point land at an impressive 39.1 percent clip over their last five games. Baron Davis hit 38.5 percent of his 3 point attempts in the first series, and David Wesley blistered the floor behind the arc knocking in 58.3 percent of his long range bombs. I see both clubs scoring well in the 90's pushing this one over with ease!

Your selection for today, play OVER in this one.

See you tomorrow,

Good calls between the under on the Kings yesterday and the over on the Nets.....

Any thoughts for Boston/Detriot?
