ytd....41-33 (+17.98 units)

big props to justin wayne for a great outing on saturday night. turned a potential 3-1 day into a 2-2 day thanks to his ray charles-esque pitching performance. he would have had a better chance finding the plate with a blindfold on.

for sunday:

1 unit.....minnesota (+131) over boston
1 unit.....atlanta/arizona under 7.5 (+105)

added: 1 unit.....cincinnati (+180) over san fran

im fully aware dempster is a ticking time bomb, but i just dont see any reason for san fran to be laying 220 to anyone. their lineup got some big hits yesterday, but as a whole- theyre not pounding the ball. even in a loss, the reds offense continued to hit the ball well. dempster could get pounded, but i gotta try what i perceive to be a live dog here. reuter hasnt really found his groove yet this year, so taking a shot on the reds.

(edit: just to clarify, im not ignorant enough to think that down the line, san fran wont be a justified 2/1 favorite in this kind of spot. but as of right NOW, i think the line is based on reputation/expectations. reds arent in frisco's class, but right now giants just not playing with confidence)

adding: 1 unit....chicago white sox (-135) over seattle

similar to dreifort/suppan situation last night.

playing ON colon
also
playing AGAINST meche

meche is pitching great- but i just think he comes back into the stratosphere a little bit here. its not that i dont think hes capable of pitching the way hes been pitching, because hes damn good. injuries were his main concern obviously- but i think he levels out a little tonight. i dont see him winning in yankee stadium and comiskly/cellular in back to back outings.

and definitely like colon against this lineup because its a lineup he knows well and one that he has had some dominant outings against. it seems like only yesterday (oh how the indians have fallen) he was dominating the exact same seattle lineup in the al division series a few years back. mariners hitters couldnt touch him. so i think he has a "comfort level" with this team, because the lineup is virtually the same as it was a few yrs back.
