5-2 yesterday, and just a couple of baskets from a sweep. apologies to the record mavens out there but i just haven't kept up with my posted record for hoops this year. believe that it's a few games over .500. two plays for today:

geo mason +16: maybe it's the old wolfpacker in me but i still just see carolina as a top 50 or so team as opposed to a top 20 team, like the rest of the free world. geo mason a quality team that i believe will hang around with the tarheels today.

w. ky +1-: no comparison in these two team's records, which accounts for the line. however, no comparison in their opposition either. hilltoppers are at a crossroads, winless coming off the louisville debacle. there's some talent on this western team, not the least of which is bigman dixon, for whom the racers have no answer. besides, this instate rivalry has historically been a homer dominatd series. everything appears to set up for the home dog play.

Thanks for your plays loop. I was looking at Mason myself. They played the Terps fairly well for a while and I'm not sold on the Heels yet myself. It's like Hodge said when asked what he thought of Carolina being ranked in the Top 10 with Roy Williams..."Can he play?"

Regarding Western Kentucky, have you seen Nigel Dixon yet? At FSU, he always looked extremely slow but if he's dropped some pounds, I could see where he would be a serious lane clogger.

Any thoughts on our game against Wisc-Milwaukee tonight?

i think the pack will win, but i have no confidence in them as a favorite at this point. i think this is a watershed year for sendek. i really like the guy as a coach and a person, but i swear it just feels like they never quite play up to their potential, and have recurring problems on the road. they seem to go through long periods lacking focus during games. it's hard to put your finger on it, it seems like a team chemistry thing.

rearding today's game, if i had to make a bet i would play the over 148-. uw-m likes to push the tempo, and, as much as sendek should probably slow things down, i think they will let the guards go with them.

I will be the first to agree that we are not at top 10 team. I would say that at this point in the season, though, we certainly deserve to be in the top 20 after our win against Illinois. But top 50 team??? Are you kidding me? Unless you have watched all of the games, that is pretty ignorant IMO. With our starting five at full health there is now way we are only a top 50 team. I guess we'll have to wait until ACC action to see.

Wasn't the pack supposed to be in the national title running in college football this year:rolleyes:

As far as george mason, I think 15 or whatever is too many to lay. Especially with the bruises on UNC, if we get up I think the starters will get some rest. I would probably agree taking the points is the smarter play.

yes state did beat duke by 7 points .as far as unc-i am tired of hearing about everyones hurt finger or toe.the raleigh newspaper had 4 articles about manuel and williams and the likely hood of their not playing.do like the australians laver,newcomb,hopper,roche,rosewall-did in tennis.if you play you are not injured.as you saw against illinois they played.mr saint are you still believing you will rape duke as you stated in your post.seems to me that duke may hold their own with unc.

Honestly lowell what is your deal. All you ever do is come into something I post and give me shit. I noticed from looking at your posts on Madjack that all you do is coattail people. Try making your own picks instead of starting trouble. Keep up coattailing my picks because I know you do, you should thank me for making you money since my play today already hit.

And yes, we will rape dook...of course dook will hold their own against us. You really went out on a limb on that one:rolleyes: Dook always holds their own with us, that's why it's a great rivalry. I see you are in your 50s, why don't you grow up instead of only posting to give me crap.

Oh, and by the way, I've got the N&O sitting in front of me. The FRONT page has 2 articles about Dook, 1 about Roof signing and the other about bball. And another about Dockery on the inside.

Compared to 1 article about UNC...yes, 1. And it's about the walk-on Bohlander, so no injuries.

Keep spewing your bullshit, that's backed up by absolutely nothing:rolleyes:

Loop- Come on, you can't be serious about NC not being a Top 20 team?

Today's game said a lot. Terry looked great off the bench and Bohlander continues to impress off the bench. When Noel gets back we will 8 deep with the bench, which is one of this team's only weaknesses.

your timimg is impeccable, hoops. just about to pop in and say i make take a little tabasco while i'm eating my words. i'm more impressed with the way they're handling geo mason than i was with the illinois win. maybe roy really is as good as they say he is.

I think their starting five is as good as there is in the country. Their win over Illinois was impressive, but I think much of that had to do with Illinois not playing up to par...didn't think they played very well that night (especially Brown) and they would beat NC if they played again.

Today's pasting of GM and their slaughter of ODU (who has put together some impressive performances since then), are pretty strong indicators of how good they are.
