Count me as one of those so-called Hawkeye fans that was ready to run Dr Tom off 4 years into his 10 year run in Iowa City.

Little did I know we were going to trade one of the nicest men to ever coach a basketball team with a egotistical, pompus ass who so far hasn't shown the ability to coach or recruit at the Big-10 level.

I'd take Dr Tom back in a heartbeat. I don't think I've ever heard Carver-Hawkeye Arena as loud as it was when they introduced the good Dr before the Iowa-Drake game earlier this year.

Only suprise for me yesterday was that Purdue didn't do it to us Wednesday night..LOL. Talk about a team that wasn't ready for the 1-3-1 zone defense that Northwestern threw at them.
That is a total lack of decent coaching right there. Don't think the AD will fire Alford's ass anytime soon, so we are stuck with him, I'm afraid.
Had a blast at the Outback bowl watching the Hawks kick the crap out of the Gators. Football team should be fine for as long as Frentz and Co are in town. Hope coach feels like Saban and stays in the college ranks......
