n az +2: jumping right on the uglytrain with the lumberjacks. thus far cal riv on a roll and n az can't play dead, but like the spot here for the home team. highlanders.started off strong, riding five game win streak but have no real road credits - couple of losses against a one point win at lowly sac st - not a road cover in sight. both teams have been idle for a week and now riverside hits the road for flagstaff. don't know the travel arrangements but most team from the socal area bus there because of inconvenient flight schedules. it's a long busride up the mountain to play at altitude, and none of the riverside players have ever made the trip.
meanwhile, lumberjacks have had a rough go of it, battling injuries and playing no true home games to date, only two in flagstaff thus far have been at the rolle center; today will be their first game at the walkup skydome, a venue with difficult backrounds where visitors have struggled shooting in the past. look for gabe rogers to break out this afternoon, rogers is the lumberjacks' primary scoring threat. with a dearth of second options, opponents have been doubling him and forcing him to turn over, but slow footed highlanders not really suited to put on pressure, especially at altitude. home team prevails.
